"I STAND CORRECTED,LATEST SAFARI GLOWS IN MY WINDOWS PC."

    October 15, 2012  |   By sbose64

    Version: Apple Safari 5.1.7

    Pros

the minimalist steel gray screenshot, extraoedinary glossy interface that makes websites come alive unlike an yellow tinged chrome, more than adequate speed(if not the sprint champion),excellent bookmarking wizard are some of the special plus features that make it the most visually appealing and a delight to use.that too, minus the numerous clothings its rival firefox dons.the apple pedigree is a huge boost and it justifies with its muted elegance.

    Cons

few add ons, lack of skins, average speed are some of the negatives but die hard safari fans do not seem to complain much!earlier issue of crash has been taken care of.i got apple application support and quicktime installed before downloading safari and then waited with baited breath for my favourite browser to download.and, thank god, home page opened without a hitch in its first run!

    Summary

a free gift by apple inc. for its rival windows users and its magnanimous.surfing is most pleasant with safari no doubt,chrome/firefox comes later.conclusion,i will never give safari browser a miss, whatever platform i am in.that sound promotional but facts and user experience support me.

    September 7, 2012  |   By ShojoBakunyu99

    Version: Apple Safari 5.1.7

    Pros

The best web browser out there, when you get it to work for more than 10 min's at a time.

    Cons

Just keeps crashing over and over and over again, won't allow me to load my gMail... I HATE IE but this latest version of Safari just isn't usable.

"Every video with Safari, means 'blocked plug-ins'"

    August 22, 2012  |   By jayt505

    Version: Apple Safari 5.1.7

    Pros

Otherwise, it is the same Safari that I can better organize my net surfing experience with.

    Cons

But when it comes to viewing videos, it doesn't start unless the latest Adobe Flash player gets downloaded and I mean every single time I view a video even if I just downloaded the latest Flash with the previous video viewing. Doesn't that suck?

    Summary

My Mac is updated with the Mountain Lion OS. Could this be a phased adjustment for the new Safari, I ask. But hey, we're talking here about an Apple product too, right? So, why should it not synch with a updated Apple OS? Or is this still part of the latest rivalry wars between Adobe and Apple?

    "Works better on a Mac"

    June 15, 2012  |   By jscott418

    Version: Apple Safari 5.1.7

    Pros

Its faster then IE 9 on a Windows 7 PC.

    Cons

The translation from Mac's to Windows has left Safari looking out of place on a PC.

    Summary

I use both Mac's and PC's equally. I have tried Safari on my PC every time a new version comes out. I keep hoping Apple can somehow begin to understand how to port Safari to a Windows system. Its not that Safari is really bad on a Windows PC it just looks rather bad compared to other Windows Apps. Considering Chrome has a core engine (Webkit) as Safari. I have to say Chrome shines as a much better choice. Even though I prefer Safari on my Mac. I cannot say its my first choice on a PC.
