"APPLE losing touch..."
Version: Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
Pros
Let's see....well none. Again.
Cons
You are forced to spend $26 to buy it if you want to convert your apple email address to iCloud - if you don't your address is eliminated. Really Apple? - nice work.
Then I had to upgrade my iPhoto ($10) and my iMovie ($10) in order for it have it available on my iPad and the macbook...
Lets see - it took over an hour to load. Now that it has my batt life is far worse, the computer is running at a warmer temperature, and everything is slower...The Launch Pad is elementary (regressive really as it is so basic) and Mission Control as of yet has provided zero benifit.
The control pad has been reversed (how you scroll) for no apparent reason...
Apple did want me to sign up to feature to "find my Mac" whereby I can find my Mac in cyberspace and shut it down. Considering I've never had this problem, nor have I heard of it - I'm more than a little suspicious...Why does Apple want to know where my mac is...? Creepy and out of touch? More than a little.Summary
The Mac runs slower and I'm suspicious as to why Apple wants to know where my Mac is. It's running at a warmer temperature and has added zero benefit for me. In addition I was forced to spend the $ to upgrade to it because otherwise my Apple email address (on Mobile Me) would be eliminated - I had to go to iCloud. iCloud itself is really very elementary and is nothing Blackberry has not been doing for a decade (syncronizing email, data, calenders etc) - even then I had to spend an extra $20 to get that to happen...
All in all, it was yet another miss and another disappointment from a company which did not disappoint in the past.
its too bad. -
"And yet Microsoft receives criticism..."
Version: Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
Pros
nothing at all
Cons
slow, unstable, doesnt support many older mac applications, interface is same nothing has changed, annoying mac dock still there, and a pain to upgrade.
Summary
Apple pays people to say good things about them. If they didnt they would receive more criticism then Microsoft. We should boycott apple and destroy there evil plans. They are what i like to call "the devils company" because they are down right greedy for peoples money. What ever you do do not buy this or apple products!!!

"pain in the butt - no real improvement, don't do it~"
Version: Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
Pros
Nanosaur may look just a bit even more impressive.
Cons
Back up is no longer supported with the expiration of mobile me. Had to write Apple a snail mail letter - no easy way to contact Apple via website - got stuck in an endless loop. Can't play most of my PPC games, which I miss - found out Fine Pix Viewer will not work anymore either. I - cloud has been i -crap, lost a lot of e-mail messages which went into never-never land, not in junk or trash folders either. Lets not forget that Firefox crashes often now also. PPC programs are not supported -
Summary
Not worth the money to upgrade 0/S two times - plus the expense to max out my RAM. The older operating system is better.

"Lion Roars!"
Version: Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
Pros
It is awesome it's really fast and has amazing features.
Cons
The only problem I am having is the Boot-up it is slow in booting up as compared to Snow Leopard.
Summary
Overall, it is a great software.

"It's terrible!"
Version: Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
Pros
The recover hd under the hood is a good idea
Cons
1) It makes my desk machine feel like a f@@king iphone!
2) It is unstable.
3) It generally doesn't give any way to turn the S^!+ off!
4) It is so slow! I thought 64 bit processing was supposed to make things fasterSummary
I have used every Mac operating system since the first one on my 128k Mac back in the 1980s. This is the worst I have ever seen. After working with Lion for 1 week it was so bad that I had to reformat the machine and reinstall Snow Leopord. It is clear the direction Apple is going, and I don't like it. After being a loyal mac user since the 1980s I have now decided to switch to Linux.

"Not for Pros."
Version: Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
Pros
Overall performance.
Cons
Autosave is a nightmare in real life.
Rosetta is gone.
Expose is gone.
It feels like an OS inspired in iOS, created just for beginers, It looks like advanced users are forgotten.Summary
Despite the overall performance in my MBP, Autosave was a real deal breaker for me. I could get used to the new (inecesary) cosmetics; however, when things are about work, I like to decide when and what to save. Lack of swich to turn this off, made me downgrade to Snow Leopard, no regrets so far.

"Finally switched - I'm glad I did"
Version: Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
Pros
The new features, the gestures, the way my PB responses are just great - 5 stars Apple. Oh, and the fact that after restart I go back directly to the state I was before ...
Cons
Doesn't support PPC applications anymore can't sync my old iPhone 3 with iCloud
Summary
After a long delay due to the fact that Lion is not supporting PPC applications anymore (which took me sometime to replace), and the fact that 10.6 was a great OS, I finally switched. I'm glad I did!

"I would not have installed if I had known"
Version: Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
Pros
Just a user not a tech person. I thought it would improve my computer experience.
Cons
The FACT that Lion causes my internet connection to keep dropping off the internet . I do not see any solutions . It caused me to drop off 8 times today. Once writting this review.
Frustrating to say the least !Summary
If I could go back in time I would not have installed Lion. It is not ready for public use.

"Klutzy, slow, poorly conceived,"
Version: Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
Pros
inexpensive (until you upgrade all the software)
Cons
1)High cost of updating compatible software and finding they work less well than before 2)The marked slowing of most functions on my recent iMac 3)Frequent crashes, bugs and freezes 4)Counterintuitive actions throughout the operating system 5)The dependence on high speed internet, which is not available to me where I live 6)The loss of synchronization data with iCloud 7)The lack of straightforward user customization to prevent unwanted actions within the operating system.
Summary
Been an apple enthusiast for over a decade and liked most of what they've done, but I truly hate this operating system. Stuck with it for over 6 months hoping they would improve it but, I've gone back to windows for much of my computing needs because of my dislike of this. Gestures were fine for an iPhone, but I personally do not at all want a large iPhone on my desktop...This is just a tragic upgrade as far as I'm concerned. It's slower, cumbersome, user hostile and I've lost much data from the "Cloud and counterintuitive gestures.

"Lion Kills Windows 7"
Version: Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
Pros
Lion has full multitouch gestures, which are natural and not confusing. They help me get stuff done quickly. I can use them without even thinking about it. Lion has FaceTime built in, which is a nice replacement to iChat video calling because you can start a video chat with iPhone 4/4S users, iPod Touch 4th Gen users and iPad 2 users in addition to being able to video conference with other Mac users. Mission control is a brilliant feature that improves Expose and Spaces.
As a first time Mac user, my first Mac came with Lion and I was able to figure out how to use it in minutes.
Lion starts up faster, is more stable, more secure and more elegant than Snow Leopard.Cons
The Rosetta Translator was removed from Lion, meaning I can't run PowerPC applications, I had an application that also has the Windows copy on the CD in addition to the Mac copy and the app wouldn't work on Lion, having to rebuy the app is a little irritating. I am disappointed that Lion doesn't come with iDVD on the iLife Suite when you buy a new Mac. Apple say you don't need it, but I do need it and if I want it, I'll have to buy a retail copy of iLife and install iDVD. Lion doesn't have a feature equivalent to "Snap", a feature on Windows 7 that makes it very easy to work with two windows side-by-side, it would be nice if Lion had an equivalent to this feature.
Summary
Lion is a major improvement from Snow Leopard and worth much more than $29 in my opinion. Lion is not a "Service Pack" as the Windows fanboys like to portray, Lion is a whole new OS, it seems like every square millimeter of the OS was looked at and reimaigined.
