"No drivers for Stylus Pro 3800"
Version: Apple Epson Printer Drivers 2.7
Pros
None as it doesn't provide drivers for my printer.
Cons
Yet again, no drivers are supplied for the SP3800. I have to use Gutenprint 5.2.7 to use my Epson printer. Why?

"Works as expected."
Version: Apple Epson Printer Drivers 2.6
Pros
Includes lots of options to set the printer. This driver seems better then when Epson supplied their own driver software.
Cons
None I can think of.

"Got my 1280 working again +"
Version: Apple Epson Printer Drivers 2.2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I used "Software Updates" to download the driver for my 1280. Turned out to only be 22meg. Driver works great hardwired. I am now able to use this driver Wirelessly as well. As an added bonus I can now "Clean the heads, Print Nozzle test and see the ink levels"! Sounds simple enough but these features have been missing in previous drivers while accessing the printer Wirelessly. -
"Download not helpful"
Version: Apple Epson Printer Drivers 2.1
Summary

Big download of all Epson drivers with no way to select your specific printer. Just another reason to wait for Apple's software update when my specific drivers are updated sometime during this century.
The Epson website clearly shows the Stylus Photo 1280 does not offer a native driver except for "Gluttonprint."
It seems like every time Apple offers a significant upgrade, it takes Epson 3 to 6 months to catch up? Scanners take even longer. This is ridiculous considering developers receive all of the OS upgrade seeds long before the public does.
I realize that every one wants to wait for the final release so they don't have to tweak the drivers to work perfectly with the final version. But they should accept that as THEIR problem, not ours.
So what I propose is that Epson release 50% to 75% fewer printers and scanners always keeping their drivers high quality and on schedule. Does the market really need or want all of the hardware variety Epson comes out with? Probably not.
So I am giving this installer and so called upgrade to Snow Leopard a one star for slow and poor upgrade implementation.
