Looking for alternative options for browsing and discovering new apps other than Google's Play Store? AppBrain App Market is such a tool. This extensive application gives the tech-savvy user another outlet for their needs. It combines a very detailed search tool with a clever social-networking sharing option. The combination of these elements makes this app interesting, albeit a bit cumbersome at times.
After completing the quick and painless setup, AppBrain App Market welcomed us with a clean, detailed and well designed layout. There are not many options in the settings since this software reacts to your input as you browse and download apps. You are greeted with a simple main menu that features the elements of the app. You may browse new apps in a list that consists of the most popular ones, and organize them to your own preferences. There is also a section that recommends new applications based on your history and what is trending. A nice touch to this app is the social-networking integration, as through this app you can follow specific users and see what they are downloading. You can even find friends on Facebook and share apps with them.
Even though AppBrain App Market offers a simple and neat interface, it can be a bit discouraging if you are new to it. It has many features that are not very easy to find, and browsing does not seem superior to Google's own Play Store. The one part of this app that its developers should work on is to make it less complex and more intuitive. While the idea of social network integration is fantastic, the execution is not.

"Better than stock app market"

Pros
Provides rudimentary recommendations, better rankings and groupings than what came on my HTC Inspire.
Cons
To download/purchase an app it auto-links back to the regular app store.
Summary
Its basically a veneer. It organizes the app market mess into something a little more coherent, but eventually you're navigated back to the original app market. I recommend it.
