This is the best free anti virus program i found on the web. Avg and avast are good but i think i like this one better.

- The update are sometime slow ( 70k/s ) but when it's the only problem i can find, i don't think it's a ploblem anymore

Lets take AVG(free), Norton(expensive), and Antivir(Free, open source). AVG is buggy, hard to update, and lets viruses slip by. Sometimes, it tells you there is a virus, but provides no solution to the problem. It is a very in effecient antivirus, as it takes forever to do a scan of your hard drive.
Norton is a great antivirus program, however, it is a very costly application to buy, and if you do not have the cash, you need to find a free app, that works just as good. It scans for all types of viruses, as well as even spy and ad-ware, trojans, and other harmful things. However, it uses a ton of RAM, slowing your system down, plus, the subscription only lasts for so long, before you have to renew it, with more money out of your pocket.
Antivir Personal. What can I say. This is the beauty of open source programming. This program is no frills, easy to use, and does the job. If you have Antivir, you do not need anything else. Even if you have the money to buy Norton, save your money to buy a nice dinner instead. Just download yourself a free copy of Antivir Personal, and have the assurance that your system will be safe from trojans and viruses.

I've used free Antivir for more than a year on a slow PII 300mhz machine, and it has detected viruses very well. It doesn't eat your system resources. Considering that this is free to use for personal use, this is a great program. Some users complain about the interface looks, I don't mind about that.
Cons
The updates are a bit confusing sometimes, but you just download the whole thing again and then it works fine again.

so i didnt have to look at that dame thing again but it is free after all you get what you pay for BUT!!!! take Note! if you need a virus software for 30 days becouse you dont have the money yet to buy one you could use this one for now if you could put up with the look of it
it did not find one virus that i put in as a test on an old computer to see if it could find it and it didnt but it did find the dangers one !!! that would hurt your computer!!! the software company needs to get its self a interior decorator and fast
