"Don't install on Vista"
Version: Antamedia DHCP Server 1.5
Pros
Nothing, it's junk
Cons
It changed the fixed IP data in the network adapter nd stopped it working. It doesn't uninstall properly; on XP the uninstall routine failed(!) and on Vista it left loads of crap (including a network driver) behind which even Revo didn't find.
Summary
This is an awful piece of software, I have no idea whether it works because my network connection wouldn't stay up long enough to find out. And it doesn't uninstall fully, either on XP or Vista. Stay away from this software!

"Gets the job done, but has issues"
Version: Antamedia DHCP Server 1.5
Pros
It delivers IP addresses as advertised in certain configurations. Easy to set up.
Cons
Would not function on a Win 7 / x64 PC on a WLAN connection. As others have pointed out, there is not uninstaller. But it's easy enough to remove manually without needing a system restore.
Summary
I run a couple independent networds here. My high-speed cable went out, so I needed a way to quickly get all my Internet aware devices out on my business T1s. This required some really fancy routing on a particular gateway machine, and a DHCP server that could operate outside the wireless router to deliver the correct gateway to these devices. Once I moved the installation to a Vista / 32-bit PC that is hardwired to the router I was able to get it to behave normally. On the Win 7 / 64 pc, which is the actualy gateway, it just wouldn't work. Machines that could see the gateway fine when set up with static IPs were unable to contact the DHCP that was running on it when configured to use DHCP. Weird stuff... The totally dysfunctionaly uninstaller is a real annoyance, but removing it from HKLM\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Services... in the registry and deleting the installation folder takes care of it. I just discovered there is a version 3.0 available from the developer. I haven't tried it yet, but maybe some of these issues have been reoslved.
