"Possible virus!"
Version: Anonymity Gateway 2.5
Pros
Don't know because I couldn't use it.
Cons
Uninstalled itself and screwed up my internet settings.
Summary
This product may be alright, but watch where you download it from. I installed it last night, and when I clicked the link to see my current ip address, it suddenly uninstalled itself by deleting all its program files. The folder was still there and it was still listed in Programs and Features. It also screwed up my internet connection so that I could browse. It said I had an active connection, but I could only use AIM and my desktop gadgets. No browser worked. I solved this problem by resetting my winsock settings by opening cmd as administrator and then typingnetsh winsock reset. I then rebooted and everything was back to normal. I will not download this program again.

"Doesn't work"
Version: Anonymity Gateway 2.5
Pros
Nothing at all.
Cons
1. I keep getting this message: "You are trying to use a node of the CoDeeN CDN Network. Your IP address is not recognized as a valid PlanetLab address, so your access to CoDeeN does not include all HTTP types" and then the browser (Opera) locks up. Internet Explorer returns a site-not-found error.
2. I just wrote a negative review on IPHider, then downloaded this turkey to try something else, only to find this IS IPHider with a different logo.
3. When it did work, it slowed the system down - not to a crawl, but noticeably. That may be a common condition of proxy operation, I dunno.

"I bought it because it was the best I have encountered till now"
Version: Anonymity Gateway 2.5
Pros
Since the last release they changed the proxy list and let me tell you... there are about 500 proxies in the list. I didn't like it this much back then (version 2.4) because I couldn't always find proxy addresses which I liked, but now sometimes I get annoyed there are so many proxy addresses :P.
It's a good software for online anonymity, and since I got into a little trouble last time I was innocently surfing the web, now I make sure all my traces are covered. You wouldn't belive how dangerous it is to just navigate freely.

"Works perfect"
Version: Anonymity Gateway 2.5
Pros
Since I had to move to the United Arab Emirates to work there I can't access some sites because the UAE has a content filter which blocks pages from being displayed. Anonymity Gateway masks my IP address and now I can access those sites without any restrictions.
