"Perfect program to simply capture an animated raw video"

for the longest itme it kept saying NOT ENOUGH RAM for me and i tried everything other than downloading a ram thin program cause it felt to sketchy for me. I have Windows 7. all i did was go right click the animatordv.exe file then properites.....

then the combatibilitiy tab then set it to run to windows 7 service pack 2. and the rest work enjoy!!!

Plenty of features, doesn't make you run through a 'file save' dialogue after every frame like some of its competitors. Onion skinning is a terrific feature.
Cons
It only takes video from a live feed (like a webcam) - it can't open saved video files, such as the ones created from a digital still camera or a camcorder.
Summary
My wife & I have been making short stop-motion animated videos for several weeks with this. Overall, I would definitely recommend it for others looking to experiment with stop motion, as long as you have a decent webcam.

This works so well, I can't believe it's freeware! I was just looking for software that would do Time-lapse in a high resolution with my Logitech 9000, everything I was finding was garbage, and cost something, or would kill you with too many features and no proper user interface. Thanks, and now I have Stop Motion as a new hobby!

This FIX is from the Products sites, it works for me, i am sure it will work you, just give full control.
Is AnimatorDV Simple compatible with Windows Vista as I'm having problems running it after installing it. when I attempt to run it I get this message:
"AnmatorDV.dll reading error"
AnimatorDV is tested on Vista system.
What you need to do is set proper user rights for *.exe and *.dll files.
Please try this:
1. Find AnimatorDV executable and dll.
2. Right click on the AnmatorDV.exe file and select Properties.
3. Select Compatibility tab.
