This has to be one of the most useful free tools available today for network administration. I have even found IP addresses on our network that were not even known to exist. If I could give it an extra star I would definitely do it.

wonderful program. does wad its supposed to do well. like scanning for ip addresses and dead/alive hosts and resolving hostnames.
Cons
port scanning wasn't very good. deliberately left my port 80 and 23 (http and telnet) opened but program did not detect them.

Pros
One of the best things about this IP scanner is its size. I mean, look its just 100k. And it still runs like lightning. Another huge plus is its favorites option where you can store the IP ranges you scan most often, like you local network ranges. And let's not forget the highly desirable plugin functionality allowing you to add more features to this already cool scanner.
Cons
I'm a little doubtful about its port scanning abilities.
