Excellent and worked on port 443 quite well. (v3.1 reviewed)
The ACCESS can be limited by password to "ANY" inbound session.
Its small and lite and portable- just one executable;
very Russian in compact pragmatic practicality.

sniffer traffic session indicates no security threats
The UTILITY does NOT LOG ID,
nor does it disclose the ID of the caller to the utility.
So if you are a recipient of a "support call" using this tool,
you wont be able to *authenticate* nor trace that caller.
In addition
NEVER "INSTALL SERVICE"
ADD A PASSWORD TO ACCESS PERMISSIONS UNDER ID "ANY" (only)
It has a bad reputation for being a scammer tool,
but its not the tool that is bad,
just the people using it to scam other people.Summary
This Utility is quite fast and very compact;
a brilliant alternative to VNC.
It is also unsecured and has potential security issues. -

WHILE THE WRITERS OF THIS PROGRAMME MAY BE LEGIT, IT IS LARGELY USED BY SCAMMERS WHO CALL YOU UP (USUALLY FROM INDIA) AND TELL YOU THAT YOUR COMPUTER IS MALFUNCTIONING, AND THEY SAY TO FIX IT YOU NEED TO RUN A PROGRAMME FROM WWW.AMMYY.COM. DO NOT DO IT!!!!
If you want a legit remote control software package, use TeamViewer - that is what everybody else uses. -

My friend is now in the process of wiping his harddrive and reinstalling his computer, and I'm about to do the same.
Just so you understand: Somebody accessed my computer illiterate friend's computer and tried to install Teamviewer, then attacked me via a private chat window my friend and I were using to chat.
This evening my friend said he was having a problem with disk space on his computer, so I looked around the web and found AMMYY and decided to try it. Once I installed it I noticed I was connecting to the AMMYY router, but decided it wasn't a big security risk.
My friend ran his, and immediately a dialog box he couldn't quite explain or remember asked him something, and he clicked yes. Immediately after that, a Teamviewer executable appeared on my friend's desktop and Norton antivirus was scanning it.
I received the ID code from my friend and tried to log on. I received a message saying that there had already been a connection to that ID!
Then suddenly someone began typing into the PRIVATE AND ENCRYPTED chat window we were using "scam scam scam scam scam" and calling me a "motherf____r!" I asked this person who they were, but I received more abuse.
Obviously we both logged off and picked up the phone.
Take the negative reviews of this software SERIOUSLY. I saw them and laughed about it. Unless you like reinstalling your computer, don't use AMMYY!
I can't quite figure out what the meaning of all this is, but I suspect the devs of AMMYY use their software to watch people, and maybe scam people themselves. Either that, some hackers control the server to watch for targets and connect to them ASAP after they login. But why they would attack me with "scam scam scam" I have no idea. If I was a hacker, I would just keep my mouth shut.
If you like having your privacy destroyed and the security of your machine put seriously into question, then use AMMYY.

It's a fantastic tool for criminals from around the world but particularly from India to shatter the lives of innocent people and steal from them.
Cons
It causes pain and misery for countless victims of ruthless con artists, thieves, scam artists and general assorted scum.
We don't know if Ammyy is a genuine company or if they are a integral part of the scam. They are totally aware of the abuse of their software yet they do nothing to force any kind of registration or audit trail. One must assume therefore in the absence to evidence to the contrary that their aim is to facilitate criminal activity and are therefore part of the scam.Summary
I just cannot understand why CNET who provide suburb highly trusted reviews is hosting an advert for this product which is just a scammer's charter. We don't let people roam the streets with crow bars so they can randomly break into people's houses. Why would we allow people to roam around with this electronic crow bar. Why does this software exist if not to cause harm.

Ammyy is by far the simplest and most reliable remote assistance program I have tried. Run it and input the id...connect...done! Install as a service and it's ready to receive connection after restart. Very simple. I will buy this when I reach the 15 hour monthly limit...which will be soon!
PS. Ammyy is NOT A SCAM. People have used the Ammyy software to carry out their scams, but Ammyy is not involved. Do some research before you call out the software writer!Cons
Once in a while it has issues with user account control on vista and 7...no problem, just disconnect and reconnect and problem solved. 10 second inconvenience.

This software is designed for con artists.
Summary
People who use this type of software are those people who call up little old ladies, offer to fix their so called broken computer, and after getting her computer network information, etc, put simple destructive and annoying commands on her PC so she will give them her credit card or debit card number.
And I do NOT give a crap what you think either!
I have seen jerks do this to my neighbor, and they put a shortcut to a shutdown file in her startup folder on her desktop, and this had a command which made her computer shut down after 30 seconds from boot-up.
I found what they did, and I fixed it.
People who do this kind of bullcrap are the very same people who use this type of program.
Therefore, I give this program ONE STAR!!!

Very small, requires no installation, no special setup for firewalls. Ideal for both tech-savvy as well as the tech-challenged user. Improved user interface. Free for non-commercial and the occassional user.

I have been using this software for about 18 months, and it outperforms any of the many other products which I have used over the past 20 years. Ammyy is capable enough to handle large file transfers within my business, and yet simple enough for remote desktop support for the most technically challenged users of my custom software. For anyone asked to support elderly parents' computers, Ammyy is the perfect answer!
