    "Annoying, awful."

    Version: America Online (AOL) 10.3

    Summary

Worth software I've ever seen, world champion most stupid piece of code. I have to use it with 56K, and It's a PAIN. Browser intergration is lame and useless, I keep being disconnected and aol act as if I wasn't: the wheel spin while I'm downloading at 0.0 Ko/s, every net connections are frozen, and the only thing I can do is to try 3 or 4 times to quit (it took 5 minutes each time to actualy disconnect) or force quit. Mail window always appears ridiculously little, I can't resize columns, it's slow, full of commercials everywhere, I can't stand anymore that @*$%£ "welcome" window. Oh, I forgot, the look is ugly. Err, suck so much I can't even retrieve the build date and version number (10.3 rev 4136.208 ??). I noticed there were four 10.3 versions... doh, I think they are beta version, if not, please aol guys, just make 10.3.0, 10.3.1... or call them 10.3 b1, 10.3 b2, 10.3 b3... then everybody on this planet having a computer will understand it.

Cannot get mail for other users, only owner. However, AOL 5.0 still works and does not have this problem. Any suggestions.

"Picky with routers on Home LAN"

    June 26, 2003  |   By beatlemike

    Version: America Online (AOL) 10.3

    Summary

Just like every other version of AOL for MacOSX I can't seem to get this one to work with my Network Everywhere router NR041. AOL 5 has no problem, Windoze clients have no problem, every other network app has no problem, AOL for X refuses to connect. I know other routers seem to have no problem but I find it odd that only AOL for X chokes, why not 5.0? Sounds like a conspiracy on one side. Of course AOL blames the OS, go figure. I hope these two companies come to some type of solution, Network Everywhere is owned by LinkSys for crying out loud.
