"Not worth the trouble to download and then delete"

Nothing to like - a waste of time.
Cons
Poor picture quality, cannot see the code that creates the flash show, so you learn nothing, end up with nothing unless you pay them money. No value here.
Summary
A total waste of time to download this when you will be in a hurry to delete it soon afterward.

"Perfect program to build photo slideshows"

Pros
Very straightforward and does exactly what I want to do - build a professional looking slideshow of my photos. I tried out the free download, decided that's what I needed, bought it, got it, built my slideshow and had it up on my site within an hour.
Cons
Haven't encountered anything I don't like about it yet.

See under 'Pros' above. Just a great little program to build slideshow easily and it's also pretty cheap. Would gladly recommend the Amara Software Slideshow Builder to anyone.

"A Total Ripoff"

abosolutely none unless you like getting ripped off

They take your money and dont send you the info to get the program to work, or offer any customer service to try and resolve the issues
Summary
other than taking my money and not giving me the product key to run the program the customer service is very poor . I have sent 4 e-mails on my own and filed a dispute through paypal all they said was the product was sent, and still I have not received any product key to make any of the programing work. They claim that my junk mail filters are the problem but nothing from them is in my junk mail. The only reply I have recived from them (that wasn't sent to my junk mail folder) was sent after my first question. They havent responded to anything else. So if your willing to risk losing your money too Have fun

"Excellent, stable and easy to use!"

Pros
This is just what I needed - it is very easy to learn and rather fun to use. It is quick to load, and doesn't seem to use up a lot of resources. Highly recommend it if you need to create flash slide shows.
Cons
When I embed the swf file in my site, there doesn't seem to be a way to let the user know it is loading. It also loads the last project you worked on rather than a new, empty one (unless I am missing something!). There is no pause option either.
Summary
If you want to create a fairly simple slide show embedded in your site, this is great. I am over 50 and finding it difficult to learn new software, so this works for me. If you choose to show slides automatically, it would be great if there were a pause button, but there isn't. Also, I can't seem to figure out how to have my site show "Loading ..." while the swf file is loading, but that may be a function of my html generator rather than Amara. All-in-all, I find it well worth the money.
I may been a bit too generous on my review. Having used the product for a few weeks, it is missing the versatility other products have for the same price. If you add a lot of pictures, the thumbnails slow down to a crawl when you get to the beginning or end. Also, if you want the "loading ..." screen at the beginning, you must buy that product also, and creating your slide show is done in 2 steps. Still very easy to use, and stable, but I'd give it a 3.
