5 stars
Version: Aluria Security Center
"What's not to like? It's great free protection!"
Pros: A one year full working free trial! You can't beat terms like that. Aluria Security System comes with the virus protection, firewall, and antispyware, all free. I am still in early stages of testing, but so far it seems equal to Norton, McAfee, Trend Micro, and others that cost $50-$100 or more. Try it, it's free. Just an added note for novice users...uninstall any virus protection that is currently on your computer because you should never run two of them or it could screw up your pc, big time! I give Aluria Security Cebter 5 stars and two thumbs up!
Cons: Doesn't come with anti-spam

"I figure most the "helpful" votes come from the staff of the software publishers, as I generate a lot of downloads on their product."
LOL!
Thank you for telling it like it is. Pity though that you cannot see the obvious inference.

I gave this product 5 stars because it deserves it! As for having 5 times the amount of "helpful votes" than you, I imagine it is because I write 5 times the positive reviews that you do. Also my reviews are mostly in the top 50 downloads, where yours are mostly in the last 50 downloads of unpopular software products. No, I don't have 20 friends standing by to rate my reviews. I figure most the "helpful" votes come from the staff of the software publishers, as I generate a lot of downloads on their product. No, I am not going to run for President or start a new religion. Please stop stalking me.

ANOTHER RAVE REVIEW from goldengreek, as usual.
Your comments such as, "Terrific Software!" and "5 stars and two thumbs up!", have become meaningless because you lavish them on so many applications.
Another thing I wonder about is how you manage to get so many positive user comments on your reviews.
I have also noticed that many of your reviews manage to garner 20 or more positive user comments within mere minutes of your posting them. Why you must have 20 or 30 people who are on standby at all times, hanging on your every word here, ready and willing to give you a positive rating.
You really should start your own religion or run for President or something.

Yes, it works great for novice users. You need to uninstall your Zone Alarm, because just like virus protection, you can't run two firewalls either. If you run them both you will be lucky just to stay on line.
-
Is it for a novices user? becuse iused zonealarm triple firewall and it confused me to where i took it off.

I don't know what "controversial comments" you are referring to. I saw at least 3 negative, 1 star reviews posted. Did you post one that they eliminated?
-
Well certainly their clout here at LOAD(dot)com is effective. All comments of a "controversial nature" (stuff Aluria/Earthlink didn't like)have been sanitized. Isn't freedom of speech a marvelous thing? sigh I sure hope it makes a comeback.
