For HFS disks, all features of DiskExpress Pro are fully functional including automatic background optimization of the startup disk without the need to restart, optimization by file activity, disk analysis, manually optimize multiple drives, specify optimization schedules and options for individual drives or groups of drives, schedule optimizations to occur periodically (e.g. daily, weekly, etc.) or based on an hourly/daily calendar, control DiskExpress Pro using AppleScript, adjust DiskExpress Pro sensitivity to I/O, and erase free space during optimization. The update for HFS Plus (Mac OS Extended) disk optimization is on track for later this year. For these disks, Alsoft continues to make PlusOptimizer available.
