"Connot get my XP to install this driver."

Good experience with prior version; easy download.

Cannot get XP to recognize new driver.
Summary
Gave two stars, in part, based on previous version that worked fine. I was using my wireless mouse when it stopped working (after 3 years of no problems) Checked connections and rebooted, screen message said I had new hardward and would not download the driver I had been using. Downloaded the current one and get the "I need a driver" message. For my limited use, the default is working okay. I cannot rule out faulty equipment or problems with XP on my end. Hope this helps.

"Windows 7: Works Like a Charm!"

Pros
Installs without a problem on my Dell XPS M170 laptop. Runs as it did on XP.
Cons
None, so far...
Summary
I did a fresh full install [dual boot] of Windows 7 and I couldn't get an Alps driver from the Dell Support page that would run on Windows 7.
WIN7 treated the pad as a standard PS2 mouse and I wanted the advanced features.
Installs and runs as expected!
