Version: Alo CD & DVD Burner 4
"Worth looking into. Great for burning data files - but nothing else."
Pros: I guess what I liked most about this program was that it was ;
1) Windows VISTA compatible
2) Small/compact without a bunch of unwanted programs.
3) It was easy on my system resources / didn't slow down my system.
4) It recognized my DVD+R DL (Dual Layer / Double Layer) media.
5) According to the maker's website, free lifetime upgrades (BONUS!)
6) Fairly easy to use (but the GUI is kinda ugly).
7) The price is very reasonable (at the time of my review -- $19 US)
Cons: While I was happy with the software overall, I did feel that there was some room for improvement.
1) I noticed when trying to add files, they did not enable the user to create a folder
on the destination CD/DVD. For example: If I wanted to add a file
"README.TXT", I could only add it to the CD/DVD's root directory. There was no
"Create Folder" button.
2) It didn't have a CD/DVD copy feature.
TO SUMMARIZE : As my title above states, this program is great for burning your data files, but that's about it. It won't convert files like MPEGS or AVI's into a DVD format. It's basically a program to copy/move your files from hard drive to CD/DVD. Nice program but after one use, I'm taking it off my system.
