Version: AlertMe Pro 6.4
"A few good features but also some disappointments"
Pros: Good radar image implementation with nice options. Nice alert features.
Cons: Strange location selection behavior - I was unable to select the same location for the alert criteria and for the local condition/forecast. Why not just use zip codes for both location selections?
I was under the impression that the data used is from the National Weather Service. However, the forecast displayed by Alert Me Pro never matched the forecast I would get from the NWS web site. Also, the Alert Me forecast sometimes did not make much sense - for example, I would see forecasts like this: Overnight, Clear with a 14% chance of light thunderstorms. (It seems like the forecast covers all possibilities.) I also did not understand the timing of the forecast - why would I see a current day forecast when the current time is after 6 PM? Shouldn't the first forecast be evening/night?
For software that was advertised to have a graphical interface, there was a lot of information shown in predominantly text format (current conditions, forecast).
