    "One of the most useful tools I've got"

    February 27, 2014  |   By EdGioja

    Version: Alarm Clock 2.4.2

    Pros

    It is simple. It allows multiple alarms. Has timers. Has a stop watch. This little program helps me keep my day organized, and I would really be in a quandary without it. I was HAPPY to donate a little bit to the programmer's bank.

    Cons

    I really can't think of any. It simply works...and it is simple.

    Summary

    One of the more important utilities on my Mac.

    "Does what it says"

    April 11, 2012  |   By OscarK123

    Version: Alarm Clock 2.4.2

    Pros

    Perfect for general use

    Cons

    None in my opinion

    Summary

    A common problem reported by people is the file that downloads from this website. However, if you just remove the .txt from the file name, it will work as a perfectly healthy .dmg

    "Simply does the trick"

    October 31, 2009  |   By rmpayne--2008

    Version: Alarm Clock 2.4.2

    Pros

    * Allows for multiple alarms that can wake up your computer or just be a reminder
    * Comes with standard alarms as well as nature sounds
    * Works seamlessly with iTunes
    * EasyWake is great!
    * Includes timer and stopwatch also
    * Easy to configure

    Cons

    * Doesn't allow for configuration of everything (like duration of alarm, or just play a portion of a song, etc.)

    Summary

    Something was wrong with the download from CNET but it was easy to do from the website. (Google the publisher if you have to.) Also offered the nature sounds and standard alarm.
    I downloaded about 3 different alarm softwares just to find something simple that actually did what it promised. This one delivered. Others claimed to wake computer out of sleep mode to turn on alarm, but they didn't work. This one did. Try it.

    "This is really the best out there -especially for the limited choices for a Mac"

    August 25, 2008  |   By virtuoso1

    Version: Alarm Clock 2.4.2

    Pros

    There isn't a good a program on Windows! This provides you with everything you need to wake up in time- that's what it's for! Fully customizable for initial/final volume and the time between that, shuffle/selected songs to wake you, volume level of alarm, really great. and FREE. Kudos to Robbie Hanson-the developer. Apple should hire him, he's done a terrific job of integrating his stuff to the Mac. (program is up at the status bar, and clock icon turns glowy purple when an alarm is scheduled. Just beautiful.

    Cons

    TO DOWNLOAD: it's a bit confusing trying to download from CNET, instead download it from the developer's website, which routes you to a faster manner of installation (i.e. tells Mac which program to open download with (don't worry about .msomething.txt) GO TO: www . robbiehanson . com/alarmclock/index . html

    enjoy this super-awesome program! sorry for the spaces-cnet's fault

    "Exactly what I was looking for"

    April 6, 2008  |   By macbooker18

    Version: Alarm Clock 2.4.2

    Pros

    This is perfect for me- I was looking for a free alarm clock that uses my iTunes music to wake me up. This is just what I need. It also comes with a timer and a stopwatch, which is more than I was hoping for. I was pumped when I found this. And again-IT'S FREE. I found a program similar to this for $30, so I was excited when I found this.

    Cons

    This has no reflection on the quality of the program whatsoever-just a warning to everyone. As one other user said, trying to download this program off of this website does not seem to work. It appears as a .txt file when you attempt to download it. This isn't a problem though, just go to the website and download it directly from there. This site won't let me give link to the website, so i will just put spaces in it-copy this into your address bar, then be sure to delete all the spaces:

    "Has everything you want, but sometimes buggy with Leopard"

    November 28, 2007  |   By urgoodpeople

    Version: Alarm Clock 2.4.2

    Pros

    It's a simple, effective alarm clock that does exactly what you want it to - i hooks into your music library, has features that allow you to schedule your alarms on a daily/weekly/repeating basis (again, what I think most people want), all with a simple interface.

    Cons

    It can be buggy. It's likely a problem somewhere else in my machine (first gen macbook pro now running leopard), but since the 10.5 update alarm clock actually freezes the machine when it's supposed to be waking me up - particularly if it's waking the machine from it's own sleep. Waking up late, I've just barely made it to a few morning meetings. Again, this is probably more a Leopard problem than anything else (speaking of buggy), but if you're thinking of DLing the AC software, I figured I would just make you aware...

    I like it very much. As a musician, it's fun to wake up with your own music.
