This was one of the worst online purchase experiences I've had. I purchased Internet Cleanup over the weekend, but an invalid registration number was provided. I was unable to contact anybody over the weekend, and the online efforts to view the status of the order kept returning 'order not found'. Aladdin's online purchase service is lacking compared to Kagi and other online purchase services.
When I finally got ahold of Aladdin service on Monday, I did get a workable registration number, but not being able to resolve the issue over the weekend negated the benefit of ordering online.
Now I try SpyAlert, the one feature I was curious about, and the app searches for a long time, and then crashes. Cool. Not worth $25. -

this program works great except for one problem. If you you use httpmail plugin(which POP hotmail account in Mail program) the ad block causes the POP of hotmail not to work. UNABLE TO EMAIL ALADDIN! THEY HAVE NO CONTACT INFO ANYWHERE! -

IC includes a pastiche of stuff from other programs, notably iClean and Secure Delete from Stuffit Deluxe. The only new stuff is the popup/ad/banner stopper (capabilities which most browsers and/or firewalls have built in) and a program to detect spyware. I used the spyware module and, after a long time, it came up with one file, prefs for some minor, legit program! I examined the found file in BBEdit, and found nothing suspicious at all. Uninstalled IC immediately, since I already have programs to do all but the spyware function, and this functionality appeared ineffectual. To me, Aladdin, is just trying to make more money by repackaging existing programs with minor add ons to attract the unknowing. -

I got a hands on demo at MacFeast 2003. I thought it was cool. I bought it on the spot.
