"Bad Converter... Not worth the download"

This converter is apparently only a TRIAL version, not a FREE version as CNET advertises. Please see below for further CONS.
Summary
Upon opening the program, things look good and easy, although the TRIAL version does not allow any personalization, it asks you for the type of video output you would like. Then you have to Add the video you wish to convert, and then select the destination folder you would like. Once you press the Convert button, you are faced with a popup window asking if you would like to PURCHASE the full version (of which there are many).
I attempted to convert a MOV (QuickTime) file to a WMV (Windows Media) format. Once I pressed the Convert button, I got the popup window, I said NO, then I got a message that there was an Error with the input video file, to please check the file. This happened with EVERY video file I had on my Vista system... EVERY video, regardless of it's format, MOV, MPEG, WMV or AVI.
I gave this converter one star... it doesn't even deserve that.
I would not recommend this converter to even my worst enemy. -

I can't tell, since I was not allowed full use of it without registering.
Cons
It is not free, as claimed. I am tired of downloading programs that are supposedly free, only to find out that I would have to pay in order to make them work!
