Version: Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro 2.5 (375.374)
Pros: I have been running Outpost for a while now and have to say ,you just don't get better than this. The update to this new version was so seamless it happened without me even noticing the upgrade until later that day.
Nothing gets past this, test it where you like. With the component control set the slightest change on your system is flagged up instantly. The amount of logging information is incredible and would be very useful to techs if you ever had a problem,I find that I can learn on a daily basis, more and more what goes on in a PC and on the net.It is well worth giving this firewall a long trial and seeing its capabilities. I have no regrets about buying this level of protection and will definitely be buying and installing it on my new system when it arrives next week.
Cons: Cannot find any issues at all as yet,Outpost has not caused any problems for me.

Version: Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro 2.5 (375.374)
"First rate firewall, but not without some issues."
Pros: Superb firewall for filtering data - especially outgoing! Plug-ins allow control of: ads, pop-ups, cookies, refferals, java, active scripting and more! The logging capabilities are excellent as well. Overall, very difficult for any kind of trojan malware to penetrate this firewall's solid defences.
Cons: Thank you Liam,_Last_One_Standing for pointing out a problem that I encountered a month ago regarding Outpost's inability to handle Webroot's Spysweeper. Indeed, the firewall will block all Internet access when you launch Spwsweeper, but there is a fix as follows: Under "Options" select: Application | Components, then de-select: "Block network access if memory was modified by another process". This will resolve the problem but, unfortunately, at the slight cost of better firewall security because now if a trojan attempts to modify your pc's memory, the firewall won't detect it! Furthermore, I don't know if this is a Spysweeper issue or Outpost's issue, but I do think Outpost should be able to resolve the problem by allowing trusted applications to modify the memory. Unfortunately, when I emailed Agnitum customer support, they just gave me the work-around I stated above!
Finally, the other issue is that it doesn't handle XP's Fast User switching very well either, as sometimes it will block Internet access when switching between different users, requiring the firewall to be shut down/restarted to regain Internet access. If Agnitum can just work out these two bugs, they'll easily have the best pc firewall on the market.

Version: Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro 2.5 (375.374)
"Out of the box simplicity makes this a great firewall"
Pros: The ability to either run it straight from its defaults or to get straight to the innards & tweak it to suit any system configuration is imho the key strength of this product.
If you also need additional help then there are plenty of support boards and if all else fails then emailing the tech support gets you a fairly quick and very helpful response.
I have tried most other main firewalls & have to say that Agnitum Outpost outshines them all.

Version: Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro 2.5 (375.374)
Cons: I downloaded this yesterday. All went well. When I restarted my computer it locked up. I restarted again and my computer opened in safe mode. I could not get anything on it to work. I finally uninstalled Outpost. My computer is now working however everything on my desktop including web pages are HUGE and I can not seem to correct it. Please be careful with this program
