"Not certain about voice possibilities"

Pros
As a softmodem, I would presume that upgrade possibilities should be many.
Cons
Acer only wants to pass me off to others for $149 to work out the bugs to make it data/fax and voice. Great looking program PhoneTrayFree for monitoring phone lines to zap the solicitors but when it is loaded, statement that not 100% TAPI compatible.

If you need the driver, goto Acer.com, Aspire 5315 model notebook and modem driver is in their downloads.

None. It is only good if you still use a 56k dial in modem. Obsolete.
I am going to uninstall it from my laptop. Hopefully I can, since it came with it.Cons
Takes a lot of space. I am using Advanced-System-of Care-PRO to force uninstall. Advante is now offering a special for the upgrade to pro, as long as you do not download Iobit 360 security software (which you don't need as it slows down the computer)

Summary
Came with laptop, re-installed operating system and found a heap of downloads needed, sound, display etc. Downloaded all software, modem included, however will not be used due to going wireless with broadband, so cannot give much of a review other than maybe obsolete, in my case, sorry.

I don't know what this thing is and I can't seem to find anyone who does. All I know is that my windows vista keeps asking for it.
