AdventNet Micro Agent for MySQL provides out-of-the-box ability to monitor and manage the MySQL components, such as users and queries through both SNMP and HTTP. It can be easily integrated with standard SNMP consoles, such as HP OpenView and IBM Tivoli. The agent leverages an in-depth MySQL performance monitoring by providing real-time statistics and availability of the MySQL server to optimize database performance and enhance reliability. It also helps in fine-tuning the MySQL database applications as well as monitoring the error logs and the usage of memory and CPU.

Apart from retrieving data from the managed resources, the MySQL agent has the ability to send alerts to the managers when it detects some significant events. It allows creating simple rules with minimal configuration effort, to set thresholds on critical information for sending notifications. Such notifications include, sending traps to managers and e-mail to administrators when the threshold is exceeded.
