"Disappointment"
Version: Advanced SystemCare 6.0.8.170
Pros
Does a good job of cleaning and protecting EXCEPT
Cons
Got the full version and it is full of hi-jackers. I keep changing by seach engine and always go back to yahoo. I indicated not to do that when I installed. The free version NEVER hi-jacked anything.
Summary
Stick with the free version.

"Safe Jan. 2103 Java flaw"
Version: Advanced SystemCare 6.0.8.170
Pros
http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/01/13/u-s-agency-warns-of-java-software-problem/?nl=todaysheadlines&emc=edit_th_20130114
Oracle fixed a security flaw in its Java software on Sunday, after the Department of Homeland Security warned users to disable Java software completely, citing a security hole that allows hackers to take control of their machines.Cons
Would like lower prices and longer license term. Their two products: Malware and Advanced Care are visually pleasant... pretty, and more thorough than any other anti virus/ system care I have used in the 37 years I have used computers.
Summary
Looks good, works better than most others, automated updates, optimizes my computer. Highly recommended automatically daily without slowing my computer.
My IOBit software protected my computer from this problem: http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/01/13/u-s-agency-warns-of-java-software-problem

Serious Flaw in Java Software Is Found, Then Patched
By NICOLE PERLROTH
6:53 p.m. | Updated Oracle fixed a security flaw in its Java software on Sunday, after the Department of Homeland Security warned users to disable Java software completely, citing a security hole that allows hackers to take control of their machines.
"Java 7 Update 10 and earlier contain an unspecified vulnerability that can allow a remote, unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on a vulnerable system," the agency said in an alert issued last week. "This and previous Java vulnerabilities have been widely targeted by attackers, and new Java vulnerabilities are likely to be discovered."
Updated on Jan 14, 2013Very effective anti-virus and system care. Added benefits: choice of skins and lots of options for system automatic system care. I use both their Malware product and their System Care product.
Looks good, works better than most others, automated updates, optimizes my computer daily without slowing the computer. -

"Easy to Use, Does What it Says, Boosts Computer Speed!!"
Version: Advanced SystemCare 6.0.8.170
Pros
-Free! (can upgrade it for a low fee but the free version provides the essentials plus lots of other great features)
-Easy! (heck, even my parents who barely know how to add an attachment to an email can use this program. I downloaded it for them & showed them to just click that giant "SCAN" button every couple weeks or so & SystemCare takes care of the rest!)
-Fast! (considering all it scans through/fixes including full defragment, registry fixes, malicious software detection, junk file removal, security & system updates, + more, it does it all quite fast. If you keep up with scanning regularly, it takes maybe 5 minutes to scan through)
-Does What it Says! (you want a program that will find & fix all the crap piled on your hard drive you don't need/want &/or pinpoint & find all those things running in the background hogging your RAM with a click of a button? THIS WILL DO IT!Cons
-On Windows 7, sometimes will not auto-launch on start-up when logging into the non-administer PC account. However, will still do the "Boost Startup" feature just requires manual launch if you want to run SystemCare section. Confusing, I know.
Summary
I've been using this program for a few months now & still love it. After using their free version, it didn't take me long to decide to pay for the full version. I'm relatively computer savvy but would rather spend my time gaming, downloading, web surfing..pretty much just plain enjoying my PC without having to spend all the time keeping up with or fixing or maintaining or ripping my hair out trying to figure out all those things to have it run smoothly & SystemCare has been the best software I have used for that.
They make it so easy to use to give your computer a boost while providing really awesome advanced features for those who really want to dig down deep into their system for even more cleaning, customizing, or fixing.
And oh, how I love their Turbo Boost feature!! Want to do some gaming but find your game experience lagging, jittery, freezing, or just plain sluggish? It allows you to customize what programs to keep on or turn off with a click of a button to free up LOTS of precious memory & RAM that they were hogging making your game play smoother (iObit also has another free software download called "Razer Game Booster" I totally recommend which is geared specifically for high-graphic game boosting)! And if you want to turn Turbo off, just give it another click to turn it off!
I could keep going on but seriously, download it, give it a try, if you don't like it then hey, it was free to give it a whirl anyway! -

"v6 is broken"
Version: Advanced SystemCare 6.0.8.170
Pros
Up through ASC 5, the program was a good go-to to conveniently repair a lot of the more troublesome minor issues Windows PCs develop over time.
Cons
ASC 6 seems to break Windows 7 on HP machines. If you have an HP desktop computer, do not use any of ASC 6's options except Privacy Sweep and Defrag; all other options have been observed to irreparably break Windows 7 installations within 1-5 uses of the software.
For those who don't fully understand what "irreparably break Windows 7" means, on HP machines with OEM Windows 7 installations, it wipes out several .dll files vital to the functionality of HP's OEM Windows software, erases all windows recovery points, and nearly all registry data for Microsoft Office and all bundled HP software.
If you know what you're doing in DOS, have all of Windows 7's .dlls backed up, and can figure out and replace what's missing, you can get your installation working again with a great deal of difficulty, if not, here's hoping you have your factory reinstallation discs, because the recovery console can't even restore your system to factory settings without the .dll files.Summary
If you don't have an HP computer, be wary of ASC 6, as it clearly has some major bugs. If you have an HP and like the convenience and reliability Advanced SystemCare has demonstrated over the years as a convenient PC tune-up tool, find yourself a copy of ASC 5 and forget 6 ever existed until IObit fixes it.
