I have used this program for a few years & would not be without it. I have been so please with this software that I actually purchased the Pro version.
I told my son, who is an IT professional, & he has used it ever since. In his side business of computer repair, maintenance, & optimization he always recommends Advanced System Care to his customers.
Excellent for gamers with the Game Booster/optimizer mode! -

how do you spell molasses? It took minutes not seconds to do most anything. to speed up the system uninstall it. that works wonders.

It goes through and cleans the system, finds way too many issues.

It seemed to find issues every time I ran it, but does it really find problems. My computer is fairly new, runs very well or at least it did. My computer does not possibly have that many problems and still be running.
Summary
Long story short, I installed this program - ASC on a computer at work, the computer slowed way down. The IT guy gave me a well deserved, do not ever do that again, he pointed out it is constantly writing to the hard drive, using a good portion of the 2 GB ram on the work computer. My computer has 6 GB, so it was not so noticeable, once the (programs) were removed off both computers, they went so much faster. He also said the other programs you are encourage to install are not needed, he said just use CCleaner - much better then ASC, so glad I made the mistake of putting ASC on the work computer, my computer is new again with much faster web browsing and program response. I will stay away from all CNET free downloads from this point on, I was going through this for over a year and a half on my computer, over two weeks on the work one, till I contacted IT.

This locks up my Dell XP pc. I wasn't sure it was ASC but I removed it for a couple of weeks then reinstalled. Same problem..it locks up and I can't do anything. Cntl/ALT/Delete gives me a memory error message and I'm forced to do a shutdown. I changed the settings so it wouldn't come up on startup but that in itself did not fix it. It's a shame..I've used this for years and WAS very happy with it

Used to be a very good, simple and uncluttered piece of software. Recently has gone into an upgrade cycle of offering increasingly bloated features, and forcing "free" users to keep upgrading to "updated" versions which offer increasingly less features.
Summary
If you want to pay for a piece of commercial software, then just see this as a free trial. If you want a free application to improve your computer, don't bother.

finds all trackware, adware, and spyware. Cleans and fixes my registry, boosts my internet speed, defrags.

Summary
The free version of this program is all I use. I set the settings up so that this program only runs when I open it. I run it once a week, and it always find registry errors, junk files, and other stuff. I highly recommend this program.

Automatically installed Start 8, a program that brings the start menu back to windows 8 PCs. But Start 8 conflicted with Classic Shell I already had. No warning, just automatic install. So I am removing all Iobit products from all my computers.
At startup, will install a search toolbar unless you explicitly uncheck it.Summary
The Start 8 thing was the last annoyance, the last straw. I want to keep Classic Shell, which I already had.
