"Good Program but Adware is Too Much. User beware!!!!"

    April 19, 2014  |   By Fra5er

    Version: Advanced SystemCare 7.2.1.434

    Pros

This program does a very good job of keeping your computer running efficiently.

    Cons

When I used the software on Windows Server 2012 it messed up a lot of the essential services and required a re-installation to get the system running again.

The adware attached to the installation process it extremely annoying. When I installed the software I used the custom option to ensure I didn't get the adware installed but the program has updated itself and I now have all of the adware I don't want. I don't want yahoo as my default home page but when I change it, it reverts to yahoo everytime.

    Summary

A good program spoiled by the adware. I am sick fed up resetting my system settings to the way I want it.

It is not worth the hassle using this program.

    "ADC delivers like always..."

    April 18, 2014  |   By ten_six

    Version: Advanced SystemCare 7.2.1.434

    Pros

Defrag/organizes your hard drive in real time
    Defrags your registry
    Defrag/optimizes your pc memory
Finds/removes redundant files on your system
    Finds/updates your pc drivers
    and much more

    Cons

Does add a default search engine/home page and a toolbar BUT that can be turned off if you choose 'professional/advanced' mode on install of the demo.

    Summary

I can not speak of the anti-virus portion of this app, having never used it. However,I have been working with computers as support and as a software developer for the Army and other places for over 15 years. I have used ASC for around 5+ years now. On all of the pcs I own or have repaired (which are many) I've installed this gem of a software suite.
Forget the haters, this suite of apps will keep your pc running like when you first bought it.
Between the advanced defrag, and auto driver update tool. It's worth it alone. Never mind everything else that's included.
The defrag tool can optimize where your applications physically are on your hard drive...moving the most common apps you use to the part of your hard drive that spins up the fastest increasing your pcs response time (especially during boot up).

Will it make your old pc into a mainframe super computer? No! But it will keep it running as fast or slightly faster than the day you bought it. What more could you expect?

    "Great Program, Super Results."

    April 17, 2014  |   By supaslick88

    Version: Advanced SystemCare 7.2.1.434

    Pros

To somebody who doesn't know a lot about computers, it has the one button click to take care of everything. Then It has internet booster and turbo booster to speed up your computer. I think it has around 30 more tools you can use separately. It keeps my computer a" mean, clean, fast running machine".

    Cons

Okay I will admit that their Malware Fighter Sucks. I don't believe they have one good review by any reputable review site out there on that. That's why I use a good anti-virus, Advanced Systemcare and the granddaddy of all malware programs Malware Bytes PREMIUM! Seems to be the perfect combo.

    Summary

Other than having to use Malware Bytes for getting rid of all the malware, ASC works great at cleaning up the computer and optimizing it. I've had friends who had a computer a few years old, I put ASC on it and they say its running like new. I don't know what's up with all the bad reviews. Their free version has over 100 million downloads on this site alone. Stomping the competition's into the ground. Seems like a lot of griping, yet seems like everyone is using it.:)

"Waste of Time - Adware Included in the Free Version"

    April 11, 2014  |   By TedTheWaterHead

    Version: Advanced SystemCare 7.2.1.434

    Pros

None - the free program is useless.

    Cons

I work on computers full-time for a living (10 years) and I have to remove this program and all the spyware, junk programs, and adware programs and tool bars that comes with it. STAY AWAY FROM IT.

    Summary

I BELIEVE THIS IS JUNK. VAPORWARE. DESIGNED TO GET YOU TO PURCHASE OTHER SOFTWARE THAT HAS VERY LITTLE BENEFIT.

I suspect MANY of the reviews here are faked as they do not list any specifics about the software ... just nice fluffy words. ASC Free does NOT remove malware as one user above says, NOR does it tune up your PC. It DOES have a defragment tool ... but guess what? So does Windows! Windows AUTOMATICALLY defrags your hard drive once a week!! (look in your Windows Task Manager it is turned on by default).

This "free" program is useless. I mean. Think about it. Why would there be something FREE?

The pro version of ASC has Bitdefender which is actually a GOOD anti-virus program!! So if you need great anti-virus go and buy BitDfender. Why buy it through a middleman that bundles it with junkware?

From the manufacturer: "The Pro version includes more automated tools: fuller system tune-up for speed, clean windows registry in depth, automatic and active optimization, malware & spyware scan and removal, 24/7 technical support, automatic updating, and different skins and themes."

What the heck does "fuller system tune-up" mean? And if you need a registry cleaner get a real one that works (like CCleaner). It has a good reputation - ASC does not. ASC is NEVER recommended as a virus or malware cleaning tool by ANY of the experts. Trust me on this ... I use (AND THE EXPERTS USE) Malwarebytes Professional and Microsoft Security Essentials together to clean PC's and maintain them going forward.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BELIEVING THE RATINGS ON THIS PRODUCT. I THINK THEY ARE WRONG.

****** There is no substitute for having a good technician to fix a broken PC or the CORRECT software to clean and remove viruses, malware, spyware, and adware. I do not believe Advanced System Care will do what you think it will.

Don't believe me? Go to a reputable site (like bleepingcomputer dot com forward slash forums) and see if they EVER recommend Advanced System Care. LOL. Better yet post there and ask if you should use it.

    "Hurts all Web Browsers"

    April 3, 2014  |

    Version: Advanced SystemCare 7.2.1.434

    Pros

Cleans pc's very well. Easy to install and uninstall

    Cons

Stops all opening of Adobe Reader. Gives errors and will not let you download or open any pdf file.

    Summary

Went to my local grocery store website to open the ad for the week and all I got was errors. Tried on my laptop and the same thing. Uninstalled all the I/O products and everything worked fine. I will stay with Malawarebytes.

    "Needless to say"

    April 2, 2014  |   By jesse_spingarns

    Version: Advanced SystemCare 7.2.1.434

    Pros

Needless to say, I got banned. That's one web site where your opinion doesn't count and you get kicked out for disagreeing with their demi-gods. I have total faith in the ability of the program and ASC has never messed up a system of mine yet. Nor has it messed up a computer I've installed it on.

    Cons

I took this stand because I have used ASC for a number of years now.

    Summary

Therefore I believe in it. I've just lost a lot of faith in Iobit over the last 6 months or so because they don't give you the option to install their freeware.
