I run XP; Vista and Windows 7, as you know the drive letters change depending on which OS you are running. ASC 4 sees the change in drive/partition letters as conflicts in the registry and after the 'repairs'
I ended up having to reinstall all.Summary
Sorry ASC, you original / earlier versions were a godsend to me. I just used the computer and left your program to clean up after me, which it did very well. Your ASC 4 is probably just as good but only if you are running just the one OS.

Like someone said, it is a really good program for a beginner, I agree, that is why I still use daily, it is teaching me the basics on computer maintenance.

I agree with what the cnet editor stated about the program above, that the designers/makers of ASC do not openly explain how the software is doing what it does.
Summary
I have not ran into any problems with ASC so far, knock on wood, because even being new at this, I know as well as anyone else who uses software programs- ya never know!

I agree with all reviewers who said ASC 4 isn't good at all. its a vague cleaner rather than being specific. lame, frustrating, irritating, not reliable.

I have been using the Pro v3.6 for a years and it helps me a bit. I also use tune up and they both work fine. when i tried to upgrade it to v4, ITS KILLING ME. it takes eternity to load after reboot and it freezes my notebook (win7 ultimate 32bits 2gb ram) to death! and after it FINALLY show up, there's nothing to feel impressive for. it still works vaguely. i agree with one of the criticizer whom said that iobit isn't trustful, that even WOT web of trust only gave the company website a poor rate of an orange! im not letting this one near my registry.

I would rather use CCleaner or WinUtilities Free. At least they work without using another company's data base (MalwareBytes.org). Run away as fast as you can.

automatic care does not work. Tried uninstalling & reinstalling with same results.
Summary
I brought the pro edition. automatic care does not work, all of the summary list that show the problems that just got fixed shows N/A instead of how many problems were fixed. No customer support for PRO. (They said they do but don't respond) Remember don't always believe the great reviews on products. These days people are being paid to write them.
