Version: Adobe Reader 7.0
"Screwed up system"
Pros: Couldn't download and use it.
Cons: In the process of downloading and installing I got an error message
Quote- Error 1324. The path My Documents or the volume is invalid please enter again. Unquote I've tried all sorts of fixes that I've gleaned from the net. None work nor seem to apply to Adobe. I've tried to uninstall 6.0 and get the same error message. I can read PDF files that are contained in files on the computer, but can't click on files on the web and read them. Been working with this for about 4 days now and I'm at a loss. Any help?????? I can't uninstall 6.0 and try to re-install it nor can I install 7.0 or any other reader. Any help????

I am getting the same problem. Did you resolve the issue?

After about 2 1/2 hours of more work around trys, and manually deleting anything that might have to do with Acrobat reader 6.0 and 7.0 that had been downloaded to the computer, I was about ready to give up. My son suggested that maybe we could log on using a new log-on ID. Randomly chose a new name, logged on, then attempted to download and install acrobat 7.0. It worked slick, slick. After getting it installed, checked operation, all OK. Then logged back on with my normal ID. All seems OK. What small amount I have used 7.0 in the last 24 hours, I have found it to be much faster than 6.0 and every bit as good.
