"FoxIt is the BEST alternative .... Instead of this Monster."
Version: Adobe Reader 7.0
Pros
+ If You are looking for a PDF Reader, download FOXIT for Free, a Very LOW system resources cansuming alternative for Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Cons
- Loads at System StartUp, takes times for Initialization and consumes bulk of system and Memory resources.

"Reliable but takes up a bit of space"
Version: Adobe Reader 7.0
Pros
One of my favorite pdf file viewer. Starts faster and integrates with your IE and Mozilla Firefox browsers without any hassles. Uses a small amount of physical memory unlike FoxIt and eXPert PDF Reader and more reliable. Both are memory hoggers and creates problems when viewing pdf files over IE or Firefox
Cons
Consumes a bit of hard-disk space, not for those that are low on disk-space. Installs third party applications that are probably not going to be used by average computer users, it probably contributes to it's unusually large disk space requirement. The download manager can sometimes be bothersome if you don't configure it. It will pop-up if your internet connection is idle for about 20 minutes.

"You can't copy someone -- Copyright built in -- safe!"
Version: Adobe Reader 7.0
Pros
It keeps the copyright -- you can only copy the text, not the whole layout! That means you have you copy all the pictures one by one, reformatt everything if you need to copy.
Cons
none!

"A Part From Slow Start, Still A Great Application!"
Version: Adobe Reader 7.0
Pros
Allows you to open *.pdf files. Also allows you to view *.pdf files in Internet Explorer, Firefox and anyother internet explorer program.
Cons
Slow when starting application and can take a while to load. Does not allow you to convert files from *.doc or any other file to *.pdf.

"Wouldn't load on my Windows 2000 system"
Version: Adobe Reader 7.0
Cons
Excessively long download requiring multiple attempts and a trojan being caught by my antivirus during the download. Finally went to install and was informed this required a newer version OS. A waste of my time!

"Too big"
Version: Adobe Reader 7.0
Pros
Reads pdf files just like the older versions. Pdf files are nice
Cons
This thing is just too big. Don't be fooled by the small download size; this is just to download the installer. The very fact that it needs an installer should tell you something. If you use adobe files all the time as a part of your everyday life, the file size might be worth it. Me, I only need it for the occasional file on the web that is in pdf format. Not worth the 70 mb that it took up according to the 'Add/Remove Programs' screen on my computer. Why this version had to be so much larger than the past ones to basically do the same thing is beyond me.
