PDF-XChange Viewer: One may search the content of thousands of .pdf files simultaneously; highlight sentences; add notes etc. etc. Available from cnet.com for free.
[I'm downloading Adobe Reader X for work only; PDF-XChange Viewer is the perfect default viewer/editor to my mind. I've turned-off the automatic updates in-case they decide that they have been too generous in the future. I don't think that it ever needs "up-grading" personally].
I hope that that helps.
