"go back to 9.4 and start over"
Version: Adobe Reader X 10.0
Pros
No Pros that I can put my finger on.
Cons
Looks like inexpensive software, 9 looks clean and sharp. Slow startup. *If you have net applications that call Adobe Reader using System.Diagnostics.Process.Start to print PDF, Reader processes just back up in task list and must be killed manually.
Summary
Stay on 9 as long as you can, don't install X until they work the bugs out.

"Awful, Avoid if you can"
Version: Adobe Reader X 10.0
Pros
None. Worse than earlier versions in every respect
Cons
Same things as others have reported. Numerous bugs on my Windows 7 X64 PC. Also extremely unresponsive when resizing/moving windows.
Summary
Stay on Adobe 9 if you possibly can. X is broken. I thought my PC was developing faults until I found what so many others have had to say.
OK, Since posting my annoyance I've updated to the current release, and the problems that I can test for immediately seem to have gone away. On that basis I'd uprate the product to 2* (including the penalty for the waste of my time by the Beta version that was shipping to begin with)

"Unusable, Tried Both 10 and 10.1"
Version: Adobe Reader X 10.0
Pros
None. It won't work.
Cons
Screen freezes up and I have to manually terminate application. Won't work on Windows XP SP-3. I uninstalled X and reinstalled 9.4, and now everything works perfectly again.
Summary
I would avoid this, especially if you still use Windows XP. There has to be something going on at Adobe that is not being acknowledged about Version X.

"the best donwload"
Version: Adobe Reader X 10.0
Pros
no pros: at all
Cons
nice real donwload

"If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is!"
Version: Adobe Reader X 10.0
Pros
Why bother
Cons
I just don't like it.
Summary
(1) The "Save as" button was removed from the toolbar. (2) "Save as" cannot remember the previous destination, but always reverts to some wierd temporary folder. To me, this is critical. (3) The little toolbar at the bottom usually takes forever to save a file. I have reverted to Reader 9.4 on all of my computers. Maybe version "XX".

"Annoying and inconvenient"
Version: Adobe Reader X 10.0
Pros
None so far.
Cons
Browser plug-in is a nightmare, does not work properly most of the time, saving a file is next to impossible, page numbers are not visible at all times.
Summary
Horrible. What happened to the browser plug-in? Who came up with the idea of showing the page number as a pop-up (that does not pop up when you need it the most, and even if it does it might work or might not). What happened to Ctrl-+ and Ctrl-- for zooming? If you right-click and choose to show the toolbar, it might appear... or might not. Saving a file to your computer is next to impossible. Tested in both Chrome and Firefox. Back to the drawing board. Adobe Reader is steadily going down since version 6 or so... I wonder if Reader X still does not work with Xerox printers?

"A Big Step Backward"
Version: Adobe Reader X 10.0
Pros
None. It doesn't work.
Cons
This is a shameful new version since it doesn't work on Windows 7. Version 9.4 worked flawlessly.
Summary
Stick with Version 9.4. Version X is a bust.

"Wait till they fix the bugs"
Version: Adobe Reader X 10.0
Pros
Very nice to be able to insert highlighting and comments!
Cons
Some PDFs take a very, very long time to load, and show "not responding" in Win7, until it finishes loading.
Summary
Version 10, while promising, is unusable at this time because of extreme lag in displaying some PDFs. I look forward to trying it out again, once they get that bug fixed. In the meantime, I'm back to version 9.4.1.

"Sucks!!!!!"
Version: Adobe Reader X 10.0
Pros
Zilch, nada zippo- JUNK
Cons
EVERYTHING !
Summary
How much did Adobe pay you to give 5 stars Cnet? This is the biggest piece of garbage I've ever seen, you should be ashamed for giving it 5 starts !

"Adobe Reader X is very slow."
Version: Adobe Reader X 10.0
Pros
Has several more features (that I probably wont use)
Cons
Extremely slow to load, Print spooler is v e r y s l o w. Takes up so much CPU, cant do anything else until printing is done.
Summary
I want to go back to 9.
