Version: Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0
"One of the best photo editing software out there!"
Pros: I have to say before I meantion the features, this program was splendid. Adobe has once again beaten the competitors with their features and ease of use. The importing abilities are great including ways such as digital cameras, cd or smartcard, scanner, images from videos and more. This program has the second most editing features any photo editing software on thr market has . To name a few, red eye removal, touch-ups, lighting adjustment, templates and so much more. The tech support is at a great standard which includes phone support if your trouble isn't answered by easy to follow tutorials and manuals.
Cons: Can't create albums. Can't edit with the following features: layer masks and lens distortion correction. Other than that, the product is a great way to edit your photos, especially is you're willing to buy ;)

"ECONOMIC VERSION OF PHOTOSHOP WITH LESS FUNCTIONS"
Pros: I recommend this program for basic users who would like to make changes on their digital photos. It is also cheaper than photoshop and comes with all the photoshop basic filters.
Cons: In no way cannot replace photoshop but it is very good for a basic PC user.

Version: Adobe Photoshop Elements 6
Pros: The new interface is slick, the extra toolbar elements are a great edition.
The price is great for a quite full featured consumer photo editor. I use Photoshop CS2 at work and Elements 6 is for home... it's a lot easier to use and simplifies a number of tasks. I'm starting to wonder why I need CS2... OK, I just may not upgrade to CS3 for a while now.
Purchase onOne Essentials for Elements to have a complete digital photo editing studio.
Cons: Slow to load. Organizer is extremely slow for photo browing and importing photos. Organizer not integrated very well with Elements.
Layers: why isn't there a Folder option?? You can't use other Photoshop files (CSx) that have layers... OK, you can, but you can't expand the folders to edit layers. Why is such an important organizational tool left out of Elements?

"Nice junior version of Photoshop..."
Pros: If you know Photoshop you will appreciate this software. It is much easier and more compact than Photoshop. Many of the features are the same and this program allows you to get the job done much faster.
Cons: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, there is a slight learning curve on how to use the features and the terminology.
