Version: Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended
"Superb Product - Ridiculously Overpriced"
Pros: Photoshop is the defacto standard for image manipulation. Once you get the basics down, it's easy to create or edit images.
Cons: Photoshop used to be obtainable by purchase without having to sell your firstborn or 2nd mortgage your house. Now, because there is no real competition, it's been priced out of reach for most users.
Summary: If you can afford it, it's a must-have master tool for working with images. Hopefully, someone will come out with an alternative that works as well and brings Adobe's pricing back to earth.
