"Not for home use"
Version: Adobe InDesign CS2
Pros
sleeker version of pagemaker. streamlined toolbars and palettes.
Cons
It loads forever (needs high computer memory), is expensive, requires user training.
Great if your job is related to publishing for a big company (that requires publishing standard), but overkill if you just need something for home or small business.

"Greatest Softwae on the planet!!!"
Version: Adobe InDesign CS2
Pros
Hello , i work in a design company , and boss would never choose my designs . On time , i was surfing through the web and i accidentally went in this site and found this program. Believe me , it changed my life , although i paid $700 , i then regained the money back from my work, i got promoted twice, and now i am living very happily.. i would like to thank the people who created this software aloooottt!
Cons
absolutely none!even though a little hard to learn at first
-
"far too expensive for what you get."
Version: Adobe InDesign CS2
Cons
alright, this program may be fancy with all it's capabilities like photoshop; however it is definately not worth 700$.
there are other programs out there that can do almost the exact same and are MUCH more reasonably priced (30$) or are completely free.
if you have 700$ to blow buy this program, if you're not that fortunate try other programs like soild PDF convertor.

"Great program, industry leader"
Version: Adobe InDesign CS2
Pros
I think this is the best design program out there. Produces GREAT stuff, way past any microsoft offering
Cons
Steep learning curve

"Evolved form of Pagemaker, but still the same product"
Version: Adobe InDesign CS2
Pros
Like Pagemaker, its ability to incorporate Adobe Photoshop software is what propels this software to the professional level of desktop publishing, there are a few more features than Pagemaker could, and they kept the Pagemaker toolbar as well.
Cons
Trying to find where the old Pagemaker controls are, since those same controls are needed to design newspapers and magazines in Indesign. Otherwise, two very similar programs.

-
