"Download a patience app with this as well..."
Version: Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5
Pros
The new code snippets are useful
AS3 allows easier codingCons
Incredibly Slow to start
Switching between projects takes forever
Jerky animation on certain platforms
Memory Hog (Without opening project Consumes almost 1gig)
AS3 is not compatible with google's SwiffySummary
Although the cons seem to outweigh the pro's here overall flash CS5.5 is worth waiting for. As a industry standard flash is a dying technology. Until adobe creates a better Wallaby (Convertor for flash to html5) flash will just be another cool lil tool for web apps. When using CS5.5 make sure you pop a chill pill and give it the 5 minutes it needs to load. Try and only work on 1 project t a time and dear god try not to run anything else. (Outside of Adobe products) Its funny tho how Adobe products run seamless when flash is running but others cause flash to crash or just come to a crawl.

"Better off with CS3"
Version: Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5
Pros
None I could find.
Cons
Much more difficult to use then CS3. This "upgrade" is a step backwards.
Summary
This reminds me of Coca Cola's marketing of the "New Coke". It was much worse than the old version; so much so that people didn't buy it.
Let's hope that Adobe goes back to "Classic" CS. -
"Excellent for CNET"
Version: Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5
Pros
Apart from the new logo, nothing.
Cons
This is not only a pointless "upgrade" for the sake of bilking us users, it is a problem-plagued, unstable nightmare.
Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5 - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download and OKSummary
Among many other problems, Flash CS5 constantly quits, hangs and fails to redraw graphics after I make the simplest edits. I am running it on a Core i7 17" MacBook Pro and an 8-core Mac Pro (both running OS 10.6.4) and it's horrendous. I am going back to CS4 for the foreseeable future Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5 - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com http://download.cnet.com/Adobe-Flash-Professional-CS5-5/3000-6676_4-10018718.html?refresh=1304784893449#submitReview#ixzz1Lgdr1cHE, yes tank's verymuch

"CS3 And Below Is The Best"
Version: Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5
Pros
* Good Animation System
* Line Bending is Pro
* Flash 8 Pro and Newer have FiltersCons
* Insanely Expensive
Summary
This program is a top-notch animation suite for the web. Unfortunately, even though Flash is widespread, this suite is insanely expensive. ActionScript 3.0 doesn't appeal to me, so I would choose CS3 and earlier over newer versions. CS5 also has an annoyingly hard to use layout over the old versions to be honest. Since I reinstalled windows so much, and forget to deactivate, I ran out of key activations quickly. I wish Macromedia still had it so you only had to enter the key, and it would work, and said keys were bound to the CD, not the software itself.
