"HERE IS THE FIX FOR FLASH PLAYER FREEZE/CRASH"

    August 27, 2012  |   By STAR_TECHY

    Version: Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.265

    Pros

WORKS GREAT ONCE YOU ELIMINATE THE CRASH AND FREEZE, BELOW IS THE FIX.
IT HAPPENS BECAUSE OF A PLUGIN THAT USES MORE AND MORE MEMORY, THAT IS WHY IT WORKS AGAIN WHEN YOU CLOSE FIREFOX. IT IS ONE OF 3 "PLUG IN CONTAINERS" THAT CAN SURFACE. YOU CAN FIND THESE IN TASK MANAGER UNDER CURRENT USER. STEP BY STEP REMOVAL UNDER SUMMARY.

    Cons

I AM INCLUDING THE LINK WHERE I FOUND THIS IT WORKS FOR ME AND I DO NOT HAVE THE PESKY UPGRADE "POPS" BECAUSE THERE ARE NO CRASHES. TO VIEW THE INFO YOURSELF GO TO:
    http://www.faqforge.com/uncategorized/disable-plugin-container-in-firefox/
ADOBE WORKS GREAT, BUT THE MORE THEY OVERTAKE THE PLUMBING THE EASIER IT IS TO STOP UP THE DRAIN. YOU JUST HAVE TO STAY ONE STEP AHEAD. GOOD LUCK. S.T.

    Summary

Plugin-container is a Firefox process designed to 'out-source' the plugins used by the browser. Firefox' model is based on the use of plugins to add functionality, however this goes along with a chance of instability due to a malfunctioning plugin - this would cause the whole browser to collapse since the plugins were all included in one central Firefox process. With the implementation of the plugin-container, the plugins are seperated from the browser process, making it more stable. Now if a plugin crashes, Firefox remains unharmed.
It is known however that this feature causes serious performance issues with many users, that's why it might be a good idea to test what happens if you deactivate plugin-container (the plugins are not disabled that way, they are just stitched to the main process again).
To do so, open Firefox and direct the URL line to about:config. This is the internal configuration of Firefox, be sure to take the warning that will be shown seriously.
In the search bar on top, enter dom.ipc. A few boolean entries will be shown whose name begins with dom.ipc.plugins (on Firefox 9 there are two, while there are five on some older versions).
Set all of them to false to disable plugin-container:

If this results in performance improvement for you, leave the settings as they are, if there is none however, it is recommendable to switch them back to improve Firefox' stability.

    "Crashes and Privacy Nag Windows"

    August 24, 2012  |   By RugerDan

    Version: Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.265

    Pros

    Uh...hmmm...I dunno???

    Cons

It crashes several times a day, when you go to play videos in articles, it produces a privacy-invading nag window that just won't go away. Did I mention it crashes several times a day?

    Summary

When are software developers and other marketing types finally going to get the message that "We the People" are getting tired of being spammed by advertisements and having our privacy invaded?!?! Good grief!

    "Flash Player 11.4 & Firefox 14.0 Freezes"

    August 22, 2012  |   By dragonbeastman

    Version: Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.265

    Pros

When it works you can access a lot of content.

    Cons

My system was functioning beautifully prior to installation of the Adobe Flash Player 11.4. After installing my computer started hanging, whenever I opened programs while Firefox was open. It took me about eight hours of trial and error to determine that Firefox was the problem. I then turned off all my recent downloaded extensions. I then remembered I had just updated to Flash Player 11.4, so I uninstalled it. The problems miraculously disappeared after uninstalling Flash Player 11.4.

    Summary

It's an horrible world wide web in which humanity has weaved. It's just like in the real world where choice is limited by big companies that bought the competition. There's no choice for watching videos on Youtube and other websites that require flash video players.
