Avoid until Adobe changes the installation process.

"Apparently I can't give it No Stars At All."
Version: Adobe Flash Player 10.1
Pros
Don't like anything yet.
Cons
Adobe Download Manager will not install this product now I've switched to Windows 7.
Summary
I can't use the product because Adobe Download Manager just doesn't download it. It just loops around and around, whether I access it via Firefox Add-ons, individual web-sites (like the BBC), CNet, or whatever. Why do they need to install their own download manager anyway? And does it install the software? Install it it does not. I was happily using 9 before, and I'm going to try to get back to it - hope I can. This is unacceptable from a multi-billion dollar outfit like Adobe.

"Really bad"
Version: Adobe Flash Player 10.1
Pros
Required by some video sites.
Cons
Incredibly bad performance even in the web browser it has been optimized for on the OS that Adobe prefers.

"Terrible-Insecure, impossible to update,"
Version: Adobe Flash Player 10.1
Pros
Needed to play some net content - Pro for adobe, CON for me...I wish I could replace it with something else
Cons
Can't update - tried multiple methods
Insecure - Vulnerable to malware attack
Intrusive Flash-based adsSummary
I'm going to delete this because security against attacks is more important than flash content...A bonus is avoiding all those flash ads

"A necessary evil"
Version: Adobe Flash Player 10.1
Pros
You need it to view a lot of Internet content; otherwise, it is more a liability than an asset.
Cons
It is so poorly designed that, in many cases, unwanted content does not respond to "stop" or "fast forward." In some cases, you cannot even identify the source of the unwanted content so you can ban it from your computer with the HOSTS file.
Summary
I have encountered cases in which Flash begins to play (without my invoking it in any manner) unwanted content. Only in some cases does right-clicking over it reveal the Web domain, which I can then ban from my computer through use of the HOSTS file. I am an adult but I can see how parents and workplaces have a legitimate need to ban certain Web sites from connecting to their computer systems but Flash player is of such poor quality that this is an issue.
The bottom line is that, unless you need to view content that plays only in Flash, don't install this on your computer. To be quite blunt, the quality of the Flash player reflects, rightly or wrongly, on Adobe as a company and would influence my decision as to whether to purchase its other products. If Adobe has this little pride in the quality of its freeware, I have to wonder how much pride and quality it puts into products for it wants people to pay. -

"DO NOT UPGRADE TO THIS"
Version: Adobe Flash Player 10.1
Pros
NONE whatsoever !
Cons
It will ruin your internet experience
Summary
If you like browser based games do not upgrade this version ! , it constantly crashes and no matter how many reports you send off nothing gets done about it.
I have stopped using youtube and similar sites etc because of the constant crashing
I use a laptop with 1 terra byte hd, 5 gig Ram and 2 next gen graphics cards ( each with their own memory cache) and it has been rendered useless ....to the point of me considering restoring settings to before i ''upgraded '' this pos flash player.
The fact of the matter is this , if you're flash is ok DO NOT UPGRADE!!!!!
It gets one star because you cannot give zero !
