useful addition of php and asp.net support, takes quite a bit of ram to run smoothly (hardly suprising). where dreamweaver 4 was annoying, tacky, and randomly buggy: d|mx is amazing.

Very nice but I am sorry, when I try to install this on my Windows Me system it says that the new Dreamweaver is not supported for this system. I tried twice. Too bad because I have been working with Dreameaver 4 (which is excellent) since forever and really would have loved to try this new version.

Wow! What a change! It's now MUCH easier to compose sites with this latest update.
I previously found it really tedious trying to wade through the menus and options to get to where I wanted. Thankfully, someone at Macromedia has realised there is an easier way and implemented it. Many items are now in-your-face, thereby saving a huge amount of time and frustration.
Also, the cross-browser validation is a very welcome addition. No more fiddling with the code to ensure all surfers can view your pages correctly.
I'm impressed. -
