"Still has that OS 8.6 goodness"
Version: Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.4
Pros
Isn't terrible.
Cons
Is terrible. Ancient interface that doesn't match anything Adobe's done in over a decade. Key commands have no key commands. Apps in the app store that go for $2 have features Acrobat should have. Dreadful and forgotten.
Summary
Unloved and forgotten by Adobe.

"10.1.4 crashes when sharing as an email attachment"
Version: Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.4
Pros
Great PDF tool
Cons
The latest version has a bug that prevents you from sharing from within a document by attaching the document to an email.
When you attempt to do so, the program crashes.Summary
10.1.4 was a step backward.

"Thoroughly cantankerous -- cannot update nohow!"
Version: Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1
Pros
great at handling PDF needs (DUH!)
Cons
i simply cannot upgrade, going back several versions. Updater claims that software has changed and cannot be updated, reinstall. But I no longer can find my initial installer. So, I'm dead in the water, and I just use Preview.
Summary
I avoid Adobe products like the plague because of difficulty in upgrading.

"A "Must-Have" application for Power Users"
Version: Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.0.2
Pros
.pdf is an extraordinarily important document format, so having the actual application to create and work with such is creates formidable a formidable skill-set.
Cons
The price is high.

"Works Great"
Version: Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.0.1
Pros
Fast and lets me change my files from pdf to word and other type of files. The editing options and ease of use are important to me and make the program worth the cost.
Cons
Updates do not seem to be working very well. Otherwise the program works flawlessly.
Summary
I would recommend this program to anyone that works with a lot of pdf files. Especially if you would rather save the pdf files into another format for using in various things like email, contracts and other documents created in word or other programs.
-
"easy to use."
Version: Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.1
Pros
simple install.
Cons
none, the installation was easy.

"Adobe Acrobat 10 is out, and IT IS FABULOUS!!!"
Version: Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.1
Pros
i love the flexibility that Adobe built into v. 10 - very ingenious and easy to use! Thank you for making it available for everyone! i admire that in Adobe now!
Cons
i wish it came out 2 years ago ;p ... but i'm so very grateful for 10! It came out on the heels of v. 9.41 which would not install, because v.10 was available.
Summary
Go to Adobe.com and download it. You'll be glad you did!

"Much faster than 9.x series."
Version: Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.1
Pros
Fast. Doesn't stop shutdown.
Cons
Jams frequently. Often acts like a beta release.
Summary
In my case much better than the 9.x series, but this is just me.

"Adobe still can't get updates right."
Version: Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4
Pros
The update just didn't work, so at least it didn't crash my computer.
Cons
The last 4 updates have refused to install on my machine. The installer tells me that something has been modified and that I need to re-install it. Numerous forum entries indicate that this is a fairly common problem that Adobe can't/won't fix.
Summary
You would think that, after 9 major versions, and countless minor ones, Adobe could figure out how to write a software update module, or hire someone that can.

"Works as well as 9.3 but no improvements for users."
Version: Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4
Pros
Security update supposedly makes it less vulnerable. Works as "well" as 9.3
Cons
Still slow and awkward, does not work with the Print to PDF feature in Adobe apps. Still no error message when it fails to "Save to PDF"... Still broken in Snow Leopard.
