the interface is small and unobtrusive and offers options for customizing colours, etc.
Cons
i wished it gave me the ability to buzz my contacts, especially my google talk contacts because unless you're actually in google talk you have no way of knowing if a contact is trying to reach you.

Summary
I've had my MacBook just about a month, and Adium was one of the app's that was highly recommended to me, and among the first to be installed. It handles the different IM services or protocols well, including Facebook chat (very cool feature). I can't think of a weakness that Adium has, and would highly recommend it to other Mac users.

I used to use Microsoft's MSN for Mac before but I decided to try out Adium after MSN started signing me out automatically.
One thing I really like is the amount of customisation available which you just don't with Microsoft's MSN Messenger.Cons
No problems.
Summary
Now that I've used Adium, I don't know why people bother with Microsoft's MSN Messenger. Adium does what MSN does and more - especially connecting to many chat clients at the same time, and did I mention its customisation :)
