"Its fast to download and easy to use."
Version: Adblock for Chrome 2.2.24
Pros
What I love about Ad Block is that it really blocks all ads and it asks you if you want anything else blocked or unblocked you have the option.
Cons
I like everything about it.
-
"Well, it does what it says it does. I'll try it a bit."

Pros
I will report good news in a few days. Or..
Cons
I...I will report bad news in a few days.

"Works Great But..."

Cons
a little more than that! Unfortunately, Facebook chat also gets blocked when using this :(

"Adblock vs Adthwart, the winner is...................."
Version: Adblock for Chrome 2.1.15
Pros
prevents ads from even being downloaded thus preventing third party cookies from being set on your computer, something adthwart is not that effective at
Cons
uses more ram than adthwart but...........................
Summary
I kept trying to find the out which one was better adblock or adtwart, used both for several days and monitored cookies on my computer. Adthwart has better performance but is not as sturdy as adblock for chrome. Sure adthwart hs better performance because it hides ads for the most part while adblock prevents them from even being downloaded in the first place thus preventing tracking and cookies being set on your computer

"Perfect Ad Killer"
Version: Adblock for Chrome 2.0.23
Pros
Works well as a teammate to K-9 web filter.
Cons
No drawbacks yet.
Summary
Pair it with the freeware from K-9 for a safe and clean web surfing experience. You won't have to worry about what you or your family will see either on websites or in the ads on non-blocked sites.

"Be Gone, Oh Vile Ads!"
Version: Adblock for Chrome 2.0.24
Pros
This is wonderful Why didn't I discover this gadget sooner?! Definitely worth a donation to the freeware developer too. Adblock let's me surf w/o being annoyed by visions of semi-nude fat people in weight loss ads cluttering my dreams (or my son's).
Cons
Haven't found any drawbacks yet, but I've only had it a short time.
Summary
I have a great web free web filter (K-9) but it doesn't block all the ads - this one does.

"blocks ads and cookies better than adthwart but...."
Version: Adblock for Chrome 2.0.20
Pros
superior ad blocking but supbar resource usage....but that will change over time as new versions come out and bugs are worked out
Cons
uses more resources than adthwart
Summary
used adthwart b4 this one and it blocks ads faster but not as completely as this plug in
-

Cons

"Works well, minimal system impact."
Version: Adblock for Chrome 2.0.18
Pros
Cuts out the adds, allows you to add site to a protected list, works well.
Cons
None that I can see
Summary
I cannot find any noticeable difference in ram usage in before I had this installed and after I installed it.

"resourced hog"
Version: Adblock for Chrome 2.0.18
Pros
none uses way more resources than Adthwart
Cons
watching my task manager like a hawk i noticed adthwart consumers less resources than this plug in unacceptalbe
Summary
when running this plug in with chrome its like chrome has a memory leak or something b/c of the ram usage but when using adthwart the resource usage is so light, plug ins are not supposed to be ram intensive, use adthwart instead because it was created from the get go for chrome compared to adblock which was created from the ground up for firefox
