I tried to download this software, but it wanted me to un-install the Kaspersky Anti-virus lab that came with my PC. I'm keeping the Kaspersky for now, but soon as my subscription is up, Ad-Aware A.V.+ will replace it.
Summary
This is great software, and if you don't have any software already installed that conflicts with it, I think it would make either a great stand-alone system that would be worth un-installing inferior antivirus programs, or with another compatible program. I have Kaspersky Lab, so I'm keeping that until it runs out, as these 2 are apparently not compatible; but when Kaspersky runs out, this will probably be the program I use to replace it. AVG is another good anti-virus program; I have that & Spybot installed on another computer, but I may replace them with Ad-Aware Free Antivirus +.

Fast and very effective scanning engine. I have used other anti virus software and Ad-Aware was introduced to me late in 2009. I will never e-mail, Facebook or playing without this program. A nice product.

Summary
I like the new and expanded features added on to this version. I have been using computers since windows 3.0 and shortly after adopted Ad-Aware as my primary line of defense against malware. Have had no reason to switch to another company since. All I've done during the time it was just shorts tries with another brands.

Easy to set up. Followed the directions, turned it on and forgot it was there. Lets you know if it finds something suspicious or else it is invisible. Have not found anything easier that works and it's free.

I feel it's fast, efficient, and a super easy to use software. A smooth runner even on a slow PC. It has saved me a few times from downloading viruses Trojans and malware. Scans all the files that I'm downloading without me even knowing.
Cons
None that I have found.
Summary
Auto updates. Keeps my computer clean. Still on top of the preferences. I have tried a various number of forms of free services to keep my computer free of spyware and malware but any of it have proved to be as 'ruthlessly" efficient as Ad-Aware free antivirus.

Performed a deliberate and effective scan.
Cons
Slow download, slow installation, slow definition update, and slow-slow-slow scan. The results of the scan were quite impressive, but it is not obvious how to selectively keep the ones that are not malware while deleting the rest. I ended up taking a shot at it but I ended up deleting a program I had just installed last week. I am pretty computer literate but this program breaks down at the end. I wish it were better because the detection part of it is superior.

I uninstalled it and you should, too.

Not compatable with Norton as it was before the last upgrade.
Summary
Got the Pro Version and can't upgrade without removing Norton which I don't want to do. So will have to live with the version 10.1.211 until they fix this problem.
