"meets all my needs often cleans files other apps miss"
Pros: The best ad-ware app I have ever downloaded. It catches hits that other programs miss. Frequent updates make it easy to use.
Cons: I rely on this product it meets my needs. It does it's part.

"Very disappointed in this new version."
Pros: Work pretty good on my Lenovo Laptop...
Cons: Completely freezes up on my desktop and 1 other laptop. I've experienced the same problems others have written about here. It either works fine or doesn't work at all. It gets hung up on scanning the clsid files..
Summary: This has always been a good product. Let's hope they can fix the bugs in this new version. Until then, I will continue to run the Anniversary Edition. I just wish I didn't have to cancel the "update now" logo which continuously pops up when I launch ... read more

"Ran quick and effeciently on a freshly loaded computer"
Pros: Easy to use and finds most, if not all, malware on the machine
Cons: Doesn't always find everything, but then, that's what second opinions are for

"Took forever to scan, even on a new computer"
Pros: I don't like it at all
Cons: I only used it twice and on both occasions had to stop it. Installed it on my new pc and tried full scan first. 4 hours later was still scanning. Tried fast scan and still took an hour. Rendered my pc completly useless while scanning.
Summary: I had to remove it and change to install a different one. When it scans you can't do anything on the computer. read more

"Install problems. AVG only scans after exiting adaware."
Pros: Had to use toniarts easycleaner (free) to clean unnecessary files and invalid registry entries relating to anniversary edition. Then, full scan completed.
Cons: AVG scans had never stalled before, but first time after adaware 8.1 installation, avg9 could not scan at all. Tried closing application and process in task manager, restarting, then exiting adaware before starting avg9 scan - which then completed.
Summary: Overcame problem of adaware free 8.1 scan stalling by cleaning remnants of anniversary edition with toniarts easycleaner. Then I had to exit adaware 8.1 to scan with avg9. Shouldn't have to do this, but I read there was conflict with Norton, so, I'm ... read more
