Pros
I find particularly attractive Ad-Aware intrusion blocking capability and the presentation of the scan and action reports.
Cons
For the time being nothing against the application but possibly later after extensive use.
Summary
Its has been a satisfying experience working on my laptop and finding the application asking for permission on certain downloads and processes. For me it is re-assuring scanning my downloads with Ad-Aware

How do you determine the pros of an updated definition file?

Am I to believe that you are asking me to review an updated virus Definition file? The only thing I would comment on is that as the file gets bigger, the download takes longer and the old fil has to be deleted to save disk space.
Summary
The definition file downloads are getting bigger and take longer to download. Why on earth can Ad-Aware not just issue an update file containing the changes? A fix to the Ad-Aware program to enable this would be welcome.

spy bot came up with 71 bad pieces of mall ware ad aware missed also Ad Aware program found two virus it couldn't delete , quarantine,or get rid of
