Version: Ad-Aware 2007 1.06
Pros: Ad-Aware is superior to many "clones" out there. The latest version has many improvements such as; using less memory making the scans much faster than before. The results are more in detail to what was found with an improved gui. I like Ad-aware alot, It's catches alot of things but I always recommend using Spywareblaster, Spybot Search & Destroy, Hijackthis,Winpatrol and using and an Alternative browser along with common sence for an extra layer of security. Ever since using all of these I have had few or no spyware and adware ever since. Highly recommended.

"Ready for Vista, LOL, No WAY!"
Cons: This is it, I give up on this application. It made it through the scan without crashing, and that was it's only good point. It found 7 privacey infections but wouldn't tell me where they were or what they were. It gave me three options, ignore, qurantee, or remove. I tried ignore...it wouln't let me, I tried quarantee...it woldn't let me, so I tried remove...same thing, nothing. I went to close and it asks if I'm sure I want to exit without doing something with the threats. So I try all three options again, and it still wouldn't let me do anything. Lavosoft you have had well over a year to get this ready for Vista and you screwed it up again. That and downloading your "not free Ad Watch" during installation which takes up disk space, has made this once great application a woorthess piece of c**p.

"Cleans your computer of everything!!"
Pros: This antispy scans every nook and cranny of your PC for spyware. It found 32 critical items that my Yahoo spyware didnt find. Once these items were deleted, my computer ran like non other.
-It has a full scan and a quick smart scan for your choice of option. Also with a cusotm options scan and a scan for ADS on a certain volume.
-Also an option to turn off and on searches negligible and low-risk threats for faster scans.
-Updates are downloaded and installed very fast. New updates come at a reasonable pace.
This antispy should definitely be settled nicel in your hard drive.
Cons: Nothing yet, except is says there's no limitations in the free version, but the Ad-Watch is disabled.

Version: Ad-Aware 2007 7.0.2.6
Pros: WAS a good product when it was the SE Personal version, small, easy to use, fast and non-intrusive.
Cons: I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed that Lavasoft has stopped updates on Ad-Aware SE Personal and forced everyone (just like Microsoft does) to update to the lastest bloated, crappy and slow 2007 version. This product went from like 5MB to 20MB+, very high on resources, has processes running behind your back and takes 5 times longer to scan. I am also not very pleased with the interface nor have I noticed this product catches anything but traffic cookies. I honestly have NO idea where all the space taken comes from in this product, and why it takes almost more than 20 minutes just to do a SMART scan when the SE personal only took about 2-3 minutes to get the job done.
I am through with this product, and I am trying to find a BETTER alternative on Download.com to replace this useless product.

"Awsome Free Weapon against both Spyware and Adware!"
Pros: Since both Spyware Doctor and Webroot Spysweeper are paid versions, and Spybot has been stuck with its old and boring interface and slow scanning the only perfect option left is Adware. It always has more search results then its compatriots. Microsoft Antipyware is also no match for adaware even though its free too. Adaware has been in business for long enough now and it has perfected the art of detecting and removing Spyware and Adware both. I am using it with Bazooka Adware and Spyware detector, it is the perfect combination. Bazooka scans in less then two seconds and i use it weekly, if it detects something then i use Adaware. I scan with Adaware every month. (SAVES TIME)
Cons: Sometimes gets stuck while scanning, but it gets back to normal while its still scanning...
