  "The best free screencast program"

  Pros

  This is the best free screencast program. Gives you much more functionality than the other free ones, and also gives you really many of the feautures the commercial ones give you.

  Cons

  No audio on the export to video on the free version.

  Summary

  I browsed all of the sites listed on the Wikipedia site for screencast programs, and this one is the best of the free ones. The other free ones only do recording and basic editing, here you can also add annotations and other kind of text together with a lot of other feautures.

  Why do so many reviewers think the free version has no audio? I recently created a training video for a non-profit using the free version, and it exported the audio (numerous MP3 files) perfectly. The only thing it did was to add a watermark to the video, but for free you can't complain too much about that.
