This search tool won us over with its quick, detailed results about domains and host servers. Active Whois Plugin for Firefox downloads and installs a standalone application in addition to the browser add-on. One click on the button adds it to your browser window and results are quickly shown on the companion program's interface. It includes detailed domain and network information for the page you're visiting, from top-level domain info down to administrative or technical contacts. Users also can opt to use the standalone app for "who is" queries by simply typing the Web URL in the entry field. Search results can be printed and saved in plain-text format. Although its moniker implies otherwise, we found it also works with Internet Explorer. If you want detailed information about a URL, this plug-in is a good option.
With Active Whois plugin for Firefox, you can get all information about site you watch. You can investigate any Web site including international top level domains, and retrieve its ownership details and the location of the servers hosting the site with just a single click.
