"Works. What a relief."
Version: Active@ Partition Recovery 3
Pros
The professional windows-dos will restore a partition.
Cons
They can be more upfront about which version will restore a partition.
Summary
The professional Windows-DOS will restore a partition. In my case, it wasn't overwritten. I haven't seen where it works in DOS yet.
I have later found that 'Mini Tool Partition Wizard Home Edition 6.0' will restore partitions and it is free. Fortunately, I don't make $80 mistakes too often. That was $35 or so for Active Partition DOS and $50 for Active Partition Windows-DOS.
They can be more upfront about which version will restore a partition. It's not so easy to think it through when your feeling desperate. I bought the DOS only version before finding out that I needed the Pro version.

"Great Program"
Version: Active@ Partition Recovery 3
Pros
Will fix damaged partitions.
Cons
I haven't use this allot so can't say there are any cons at this point.
Summary
If course, if your hard drive is defective and/or failing, then your only option is a data recovery center. If this is the case, I recommend OnTrack at OnTrack.com. But if your hardware is good and your partition was damaged for whatever reason, then this program should work great for you. This is the best one I have personally used and I highly recommend it.
The most common use for this will probably for people with external storage, like USB drives, that did not use the Safely Remove Hardware option when removing it and has damaged the partition, and Windows is asking to format the drive. Internal drive partitions can also be damaged on other ways. -
"It worked! It worked! It worked....phew!!!"
Version: Active@ Partition Recovery 3
Pros
Interface is easy on the eyes and intuitive enough to operate without alot of ramping up. Need to loss weight? Sweat through a superscan...free of charge!
Cons
My only gripe: I was dissappointed with the 'Save scan Results' option which made the app crash the first time causing me to sit through another 4 hours of superscan.
Summary
At the end of the day it worked as promised. My deleted partition was found and restored without loss of data. Thanks for saving my backside!

"Recovered the partition with smooth and ease"
Version: Active@ Partition Recovery 3
Pros
I have recovered my partition within minutes . I have tried almost 5 other softwares without any success. Then tried this software (Full version) and it worked for me.
Cons
When I tried to recover the partition, it showed an error message saying to read the help file. However the help file is not much useful

"Download @ your peril!"
Version: Active@ Partition Recovery 3
Pros
Pleasant GUI combined with a satisfactory Wizard. To summarize this program is Nice to look at.
Cons
Unfortunately the program fails to perform. Try B4U Buy has been rewritten to Buy B4U Try. This software is useless, unless you want to believe the extravagant claims and trust door to door sales men or have a stash of cash to waste to give it a whirl on the off chance it works, otherwise I suggest stay clear! There are better, cheaper programs out there.
