Version: Active Partition Recovery for Windows 5.1.595
"Worth $40-recovered the deleted partition from my external HDD"
Pros: I was using my Western Digital My Book Essential Edition 250GB external HDD to back-up my daughter's computer files before taking Vista off and putting XP Pro on. I forgot to unplug the external HDD and accidentally deleted the partition -- but realized it before I executed any formatting command (whew!).
Despite explaining the above, WD's recommended local vendor, FIRSTAdvantage Data Recovery Services gave me a broad range of estimated cost, from $600 to $1,200!?! Pffft!
I installed the demo of APR and it found my external HDD and all of the directories and files. I then went onlin, paid $40, and installed the full function version and within seconds, my partition was restored.
Time will tell if any corruption occurred within the drive but so far so good! Definitely worth $40!
Cons: The GUI wasn't quite intuitive but my problem was fairly simple and so it worked OK for me.

"Fast and easy partition recovery!"
Pros: I accidentally deleted my MyBook partition. It is a 1TB, 2 disk system that I had set to be mirrored. I was concerned that I may need to buy an expensive raid recovery program but this worked great! Easy interface, fast and cheap - $40!
Cons: You need to be a bit computer saavy while working in the interface.
Summary: For the price, you can't beat this software! I would recommend buying this product if you have accidentally deleted a partition. read more

Version: Active Partition Recovery for Windows 5.1.595
"Recovered partitions where other applications couldn't"
Pros: For some reason my partitions where deleted in my sata 160 gb hard drive appearing the whole disc as Unnalocated. Only Superscan in Active Partition Recovery 5.1.595 could find and recover them which also set the disc to run at normal speed.
Cons: Other apps suck.
