"It helped me to recover data from my formatted HDD"
Version: Active@ File Recovery 7.1 build 301
Pros
I accidentally formatted my HDD with my CD which boots and autoclean the HDD. It was dumb and I nearly fainted. After trying numerous recovery software, finally I found Active@ File Recovery. I tried the demo and was able to see all the folders and data from my formatted HDD. I was so ecstatic and I bought it. I was able to recover almost all the data, the tool that I was writing and nearing completion (I didn't have any backup) and also my Outlook archive.
You can create an image of your HDD and use that instead of scanning and taxing your drive which is nice. You can reuse that image over and over again.
Thank you so much! You save my life. :)
Cons
It sort of hangs when you try to recover huge folders with lotsa files. And you can't even press Stop to end the task. Had to end the program and rescan several times. But it did the job, so it's cool.

"Easy to use, fast and efficient"
Version: Active@ File Recovery 7.1 build 301
Pros
This program was so simple to use I had all the files I'd accidentally deleted back within a couple of minutes of installing it. I couldn't ask for better than that.

"It works!"
Version: Active@ File Recovery 7.1 build 301
Pros
So far, no issues. Payment was easy, and it seems to be working up to expectations. It is worth the money ^_^
Cons
It isn't free. You also can't tell it to save a whole drive, you have to do each folder or file individualy. It takes a long time to find files, but that is expected.

"AMAZING SOFTWARE - GOOD PRICE"
Version: Active@ File Recovery 7
Pros
Active File Recovery was great for me, my whole hard drive was currupt, but this program found all my files and saved them to where i wanted them! 5 STARS!! The price is also very competitive and good value.
Cons
Everything was good, but the demo should have a bigger file limit, instead of 32kb

"Great, but 32KB Limit!?!?"
Version: Active@ File Recovery 7
Pros
My hard drive was damaged, and I needed to recover files. It was able to recover all of my MSWord documents and the entire drive was accessible, when previously it had been corrupt data.
Cons
32KB LIMIT!!!!! Ridiculous! Seriously! I'd rather have a one-day trial... Maybe I overrated this prog, but it certainly does what it says.

"doesn't work"

"Trail Program Limit Size Low!"
Version: Active@ File Recovery 5.3
Pros
The interface of the program is friendly and easy to understand. I really like the look and feel of the program but the file size limitations does not help us because we are a graphic art site and all our files are way over 37K.
Cons
I have decided to purchase another program because the trial version of Active@ File Recovery 5.3 limits a file recovery at 37k which is extremely to low by today's file size technology. How can I know if the program works if I can not retrieve a file size pass 37k. Instead of limiting the file size, perhaps the demo program can limit how many files you can recover or have an expiration.
